How does the Cinderella Man fare against:

    -Andre Ward
    -Adonis Stevenson
    -Sergei Kovalev
    -Eleider Alvarez, and
    -Artur Beterbiev?

He would be the most dangerous puncher of the lot.

Not that I would hold high hopes for him necessarily.

    He would fare really well.
I may pick Beterbiev as an underdog. While he is untested, I think he is a fantastic puncher.

I don't know that he hit harder than Stevenson. Not familiar with Beterbiev or Alvarez.

Stevenson has extraordinary power in his straight lefts.

Louis once said that Braddock punched harder than Schmeling, and that if he had been able to deliver his punches like Schmeling, he would have put him away.

Louis's rankings of his opponents, make uncomfortable reading for Carnera critics, and much more so for Braddock critics.

Louis might very well feel similarly about Stevenson if he'd eaten some of his straight lefts. Who knows? But I'm not sure many people put enough stock in fighters' rankings of their opponents to be made uncomfortable by them, tbh.

Eveb though Louis took those punches from those two men, and I didn't, I completely disagree with this.

    I'm highly skeptical too.

Classic one punch, first round ko of Chad Dawson, who's gone a lot of rounds with a lot of very talented fighters.

What a letdown Dawson turned out to be.

I don't consider either a real top flight puncher,as Louis pointed out in his autobiography it took Max a ton of right hands to get him out of there. Braddock floored Louis with a punch that landed on his chest. I'd pick the German as a harder hitter than Braddock though.

The fact that Louis said of Carnera ,"he had nothing, they were looking at his size not his talent," makes uncomfortable reading for Carnera boosters ,I would imagine.
