All of that wannabe flashy footwork and his head stays in the exact same position. The guy has no idea how to actually use effective footwork as a boxer.

Hope this is the last we ever see of this clown in a boxing ring.

    Watched some of it.
Yeah, his footwork isn't good, and his punch technique isn't great either, he finishes very unbalanced every time after throwing the big left.
What's positive is good hand speed, awkward angles and the other general weird **** he does.
Also, he did 12 full rounds on the bags and on the 11th he was still throwing fast combinations etc and looked fresh, and yeah, I know it's only the bag, but he was throwing a lot of punches. I expected him to be gassed to **** at that point even on the bags.

Just an interesting tid-bit I read.

Nevada State Athletic Commission head Bob Bennett only ok'd this fight after talking to Virgil Hunter. Apparently Nate Diaz has sparred Andre Ward on 12 occasions, and Bennett discussed that with Hunter, got his opinion on Diaz and how he'd rate him, discussed his power and how well McGregor took it, and how McGregor did against Diaz in general, and ok'd the fight on that basis.

Doesn't mean a lot in the grand scheme of things, he's going to get beat, but I'm hoping it'll be somewhat competitive just for the sake of an entertaining watch.

McGregor's punching power is highly overrated. What makes McGregor dangerous is his kicks, which most of his opponents don't see coming. His kicks don't have a lot of power, but are fast and throw off his opponents rthym. His kicks weren't as effective against Nate, since Nate has fought guys that do it better than McGregor like Benson Henderson and Thompson.

I agree that Nate is very tough and experienced, but is also very sloppy both offensively and defensively. Nate has lost a lot of fights for being lazy on his defense. He has a bad habit of taking low kicks instead of checking them and keeps his hands low most of the time.

Yes. It actually convinced me that he has an extremely high possibility of obtaining the upset. The way he switches stances is seamless and will also show Mayweather some transitions that he simply will not be accustomed to.

Doesn't matter if it's overrated, it's hard enough to hurt Mayweather and knock him out if he lands flush.
