Mayweather/McGregor Fight Discussion

The best McGregor can possibly do is not get knocked out and survive for the full 12 rounds. Even in the best case he won't win a single round. So no, he has no future in boxing.

 

People are slowly beginning to realize that McGregor is going to knock Mayweather out. I didn't believe it at first either until I saw videos of McGregor really training.

 

The whole "stumbling back to the house" comment has an air of authenticity to it. It just makes sense that he didn't want to continue to absorb beating after beating. He is being unfair to Conor as a result.

 

It's not UFC vs boxing. That's what people don't understand. McGregor is a special fighter. You can't just take any UFC fighter and put them in boxing as they would get the **** beat outta them.

Watch McGregor train and watch his press conference. He has a tremendous amount of respect for boxing. He doesn't bad mouth it and says exactly what I said. Just respect the talent as he truly is the best fighter in the world and he will show it against Mayweather.

I didn't believe it until I saw this guy train and I watched some of his UFC fights. I also had a sneaking suspicion that he beat the hell out of Malinaggi which was proven to be true. Malinaggi is a liar and a notorious hater with a huge ego. I knew that would happen.

That doesn't mean that boxing can't learn from this. It will, and it will come back stronger, but people will also have respect for the UFC. I know I do now. All we can do at this point is just hope that Mayweather doesn't get seriously hurt and both guys can return to their families with full health.

 

McGregor said that he will alternate between both sports. He is going to knock out Mayweather. I really don't know why Mayweather took this fight without having all the information. It was a dumb move and he was provoked by us, who were all ignorant about McGregor's skill set and ability. McGregor duped us all.

 

McGregor had tremendous respect for boxing. Outside of what he said about Floyd during the press conference, I've never listened to the guy, but I would ask everyone to listen to his press conference after his open workout for the press.

The guy is reasonable and has a tremendous amount of respect for boxing. Says is a big fan and wants to see Lomachneko vs Rigo, which quite honestly would be the most skilled fight in boxing.

In my opinion, if he can survive 12 rounds with Mayweather, he will win regardless of the outcome.

 

I will do backflips of joy should McGregor knock Floyd out. I love Boxing and dont really care for MMA but i see Floyd as one of Boxing biggest villains of recent years ive always wanted to see him snoring and twitching on the canvas.

 

Maybe he could go the distance, as Floyd wants to maxium TV revenues which makes more $$$$$. Floyd schools him 120-8 or the ref stops the fight after Mcgregor gets huge beating.

 

Paulie has always been a ***** ass. Look at how he disrespects Pac. Honestly, this couldn't have happened to a better person as I was always insistent on a Pac vs Malinaggi fight.

 

It won't go 12 rounds. I might bet on an early KO to be honest. I think if it somehow goes 12 that Floyd will have the advantage.

I will wait to see if the 8 oz gets approved first before I make any decisions.

I believed this initially, but not anymore. In fact, I've done a complete 180 and I think Mayweather gets knocked out early.

McGregor is going to outweigh him by 20-25 lbs and he carries legit KO power. Mayweather made a massive mistake taking this fight.

McGregor basically fooled us all. I had no idea that he could move like that and that he was that versatile. Dude is not disrespectful to the sport of boxing either. He actually sounds rationale, but just extremely confident.

The big shame is that there is such a lack of skill in boxing at this point in history, that a guy with and albeit somewhat extensive background in boxing, but ultimately an MMA guy, is going to be able to come into boxing and knock Floyd out.

That's what's crazy to me. But it's not any MMA fighter. Any MMA fighter would get dusted in boxing. It's a special fighter that is going to knock Floyd out.

 

Doesn't he realize this situation is totally a result of him crying? Instead of taking this in stride and giving Conor his props, he does the opposite, trying to discredit Conor and his team.Shameful behaviour that has given boxing another black eye.
