    :D

    C'mon now.

For me, it is boxing v ufc. I can't see it any other way. I don't give a **** about Mayweather's health, but boxing becomes a complete and utter joke over night if McGregor wins on boxing's home turf. Will never be the same.

Thankfully it will never happen, but if it did... oh boy, final nail in the coffin.

Exactly, and the thing is, smart people realize that this isn't UFC vs boxing. It's one great athlete vs another great athlete. McGregor is CLEARLY special. That's what people don't understand.

I think Malinaggi got into the whole UFC vs boxing mindset and that was his downfall. McGregor said he had won numerous championships in boxing and that he's been boxing his entire life.

He basically sounded insulted when people were asking him if it's UFC vs boxing. He essentially said that nobody could do this, but him. He made that clear, but of course people still won't see this. Either way, boxing will get stronger because of this. We will start seeing better fighters I think.

It will tell nothing about UFC vs. boxing, only about the individual's skills and talent in a boxing ring where it's held at. McGregor is a P4P great in a sport where similar footwork and hand technique is part of the game, so it's not like Roger Federer taking on Anthony Joshua, it's not a totally bogus match. But he's a tremendous underdog for a good reason, and the hurt game is known for shocking upsets, so why the hell would ppl. be upset about an upset? In the end, I'm beginning to think that either result bar a boring sparring match will help boxing's cause. It's being held in a boxing ring for a reason, and inside, anything can happen. I'm surprisingly getting some excitement here.

You know, I can see why you would think like that and probably a lot of other people will too, but just like McGregor said in the interview, he doesn't understand it because it's McGregor that's the top guy.

It has nothing to do with any other UFC fighter. It's McGregor that can box. It's basically like Floyd learning how to box, being the natural athlete that he is and the best at it, and then learning several other fight skills and then dominating the UFC.

McGregor is as if an elite boxer fought in the UFC. You see, boxing the martial art itself is one of the deadliest martial arts and McGregor proves that by dominating people with boxing. However, you can't limit yourself to boxing if you want to fight in the UFC.

Don't worry about it. Boxing will come back. Life will go on.

What I don't understand is how on earth Showtime can allow Paulie to do the commentary for this fight????? But then again, this is boxing after all. What a disgrace......

It would be like Manchester United or Real Madrid beating the New England Patriots at an American Football game. You don't think the credibility of American Football would be flushed down the toilet overnight?

Floyd will win officially, if he goes 12 with an MMA fighter with a zero boxing record, it would hurt
him as a boxer on his legacy.

Everyone who knows anything about boxing and what it takes to go 49-0 against the elite names at the highest level, and how much training and experience required to be an elite boxer, knows that it is ridiculous to state that a "debut fighter" has any chance whatsoever against any fighter in the top 20 of the division. Even if that fighter is now semi retired.

In McGregor we are talking about a "debut fighter" with no amateur boxing experience. Its a complete missmatch and a freak show.

Eh, I'm telling you, life will go on. I mean, do you enjoy boxing or do you enjoy UFC? Or maybe you enjoy both, but personally, I would only watch some UFC fights. Like McGregor, I'll watch him because he's like an amazing boxer that happens to fight in the UFC.

If anything, this fight will prove that guy that has the best hands in the sport dominates the UFC. Think of it from that perspective. Boxing is probably the best martial art for guys that have exceptional athleticism and talent.

Of course, but then McGregor will fight Canelo you know? And maybe he will beat Canelo and then people will realize that McGregor is just that good.

Because if Floyd knew that McGregor was that good and that big, he would have never fought him, just like Mayweather isn't going to fight Danny Jacobs. You know?

If Danny Jacobs beat Floyd, would that hurt Floyd's legacy that much? Probably not, right, but I do see where you are coming from.

Conor McGregor will get knocked out and embarrassed by Money May.

Money May is levels and levels and levels and levels above any "debut boxer" with no amateur experience.

None of what you said is true though. Go back and listen to his interview after his open workout. He goes into great detail about his boxing experience and it's quite extensive.

This is not a novice. Watch him against Malinaggi and you can tell that he has talent and skill just from those clips. Get the novice thing out of your head. It's a guy with the BEST hands by a WIDE margin in the UFC, a guy that would have a belt in boxing, who will weigh 175 on fight night, going up against a small, quasi-retired Mayweather, who has limited power, and hasn't boxed for 2 years.

It was a dumb move because nobody knew anything about McGregor.

What part of the 12 steps is Acceptance? I don't know what to tell you, man. Watch him train. Look at his foot movement and watch him against Malinaggi. You're not giving this guy enough respect because I think you are in the way of yourself. You need to move out of your own way, and then you won't be surprised.

You are talking about a man with 0 amateur and 0 professional boxing fights making his boxing debut.

Conor would not even be top 20 in any division around his weight, based on the sparring and UFC clips I have seen son.

Against a 49-0 defensive wizz kid who has beaten some GOAT boxers.

The talent at UFC is comically bad. Compare the boxing skills in UFC to boxing- there is no comparison.

Anyway you will learn after the fight, that this is a freak show. Still its easy to buy into the hype.
