We have all seen Conor's so called "stellar" hands in UFC and his boxing game in the UFC, and its actually comical how bad he is.

This is a very easy win for May. I would like to see May batter him around the ring, and prolong the beating just to teach him a lesson. Also give the fans some value for money

Conor has 0 amateur and 0 pro boxing fights.

Didn't like Paulie as a fighter, but began to like him as a commentator. However, after seeing how this saga has played out, he's gone right down again in my estimation. He mad McGregor out to be a skumbag, really really wenr to town on him. And for what? Because he promoted his fight by releasing a picture of a legitimate knockdown? When I thought McGregor was lying, I felt sympathy for Paulie. Now it's been proved that Paulie is a liar and worse than that, he's tried to make Conor out to be a skumbag, that's not right.

Now he's having a go at Dana for proving that he's a liar? Dana has a right to protect his fighter and promote the fight, that's all he's done. Why would a camp release more footage? Stupid request. They were obliged to prove Paulie a liar because of comments he made and they done that.

Lets not forget Paulie brought this on himself. All he had to say was; "Good spar, Conor caught me with some good shots. I was off balance for the knockdown but I was competitive.

Just watch his interview. You can tell he's a fan of the sport. Says the best fight to be made is Rigo vs Loma and says Loma needs to do everything he can to make the fight happen. I agree that aside from MAYBE Crawford vs Loma, that it is definitely the most skilled fight that can be made in the sport.

Guy says he admires Ali, Jones, Hamed, etc. He gives Floyd tons of props too, talks about how everyone hated Floyd and talked bad about the way he used mits before the Hatton fight. After the Hatton fight, everyone was trying to mimic Floyd.

There are a lot of parallels between McGregor and Floyd, both receiving a ton of hate and people telling them they can't do something. Just watch, you might be impressed. I was. I didn't feel like he disrespected boxing at all.

    Dude even quoted Joe Frazier.

Why do they keep merging these threads? This forum is becoming a joke. Come on. This is a real fight. Did you merge all the GGG vs Canelo threads?

Conor is comically bad as a boxer, and this footage does nothing to magically make the other sparring footage and his UFC stand up game go away.

You dont win this fight by sparring against a feather fisted Italian bum, you have to face the the GOAT Money May in the ring to win this fight.

Unfortunately Conor is not fighting the feather fisted italian bum, he is facing the GOAT Money May.

I don't think people are quite grasping how badly this will hurt boxing if McGregor wins.

How many casuals are going to want to tune in to see Canelo v GGG, or any other similar fight, when boxing's top guy has already been taken out by an 'outsider'. It turns every fight into a mickey mouse game. Maybe you'll say "good, less PPV then", but less audiences will translate into less TV coverage. The quality of the coverage will also take a pounding.

And how many kids will want to take up boxing, when boxing's top guy has been beaten up by an MMA guy?

It will hurt boxing all the way from the top right through to the grassroots.

Exactly. This "fight" is a total mismatch, and it isn't selling with anyone who knows anything about boxing, so they have to create this hype that McGarbage is a threat - when the reality is he will be knocked out cold as soon as Mayweather chooses to lower the boom.

    Sigh.

I don't know how there are still doubters at this point unless they haven't looked at McGregor's footage.

Is he really that much bigger? 25lbs is quite a lot of advantage. If so he can probably go full distance. He is not going to win however.

Watch the McGregor interview after the open training session.

    https://www.bloodyelbow.com/2017/8/...nor-mcgregor-live-stream-online-media-workout

Said he will outweigh Mayweather by 20 to 25 lbs. He says size is going to be huge impact because Mayweather just won't be able to take McGregor's shots, but McGregor will be able to take Mayweather's shots.

Mayweather is also not known as a puncher while McGregor is.

True even though floyd is 40 and hasn't fought in 2 years that won't be the perception if conor wins

People gon say conor beat TBE and boxing is dead.

No, it's not. It's garbage, a farce - a complete mismatch, and knowledgeable boxing fans know it.
I'm glad the forum cleans this crap up, so we can focus on real fights, not this WWE-style joke.

McGregor himself is rational enough and smart enough to know that isn't the case. He's already said this numerous times. It's HIM that is going to beat Mayweather, nobody else. You couldn't take one of his victims and put them in boxing and expect them to beat Mayweather.

Now, yes, the public perception might be that boxing is terrible. In fact, it probably will be, but McGregor will say after the fight that it's simply not the case.

I would love for another UFC fighter to try what McGregor is doing. Now, THAT would be comical. People will then realize it's not UFC that's superior to boxing, it's McGregor that is just a great boxer.
