To many inconsistencies to make a sound logical comparison. The to put it in terms that you can even understand your comparing apples and oranges.

It's obvious Loma has had a more successful and glorified first ten fights however when you factor in pre pro careers, age, usual and customary career progression at that stage in boxing business history you can understand the rational considered when strategizing Floyds career vs Loma. Loma may very well surpass what Floyd has done as a whole but I'd suggest you stop trying so hard to belittle Floyd and exaggerate Loma at this current stage...its unbecoming.

Castillo beat Mayweather far more convincingly than Salido beat Loma but look at who boxing let walk away with a win and who got stuck with the loss.

So age is the metric we measure by now, eh Floyd groupies?

GGG was a light-welter when he was 18 years old and MW is actually his 4th weight class since then.

I guess you not going to point out Floyd was 19/20 years of age when he turned pro vs Loma at 25/26, is there any point in rushing a 20 year old?

"The to put it in" then goes on to try and talk down to people.

I and others can make comparisons of these two ANYWAY we want. And the first 10 fights thing is a good starting point. Like I said... I could have been really nasty and just compared their amateur careers but THAT would be comparing "Apples to oranges."

Boxers also reach their best at different ages. So who's to say Loma has reached his absolute best yet. So spare us the "but Floyd was only 21, doe!" crap ;) We're comparing the first 10 fights... kick rocks if it hurts your feelings.

Exactly. It's a FIRST 10 FIGHTS IN THE PROS COMPARISON. Lol It's very reasonable.

So Loma is older through 10 pro fights... Can't always have all the decks stacked in your favor like taking on a 0-0-0 debut boxer!

I can't bring myself to read the full thread.

Has anyone legit tried staying Floyd's first ten are better? I can see the votes but was wandering if anyone actually argued the case or not.

I didn't hear anything about a fighter's chronological age from the Floyd groupies when they're crucifying GGG for not moving up. They cite weight bullies like Crawford doing so to **** on GGG when he's only moved up 1 division (a whopping 8lb) since he was 18 and GGG is in his 4th (19lbs)

I'm pretty sure Oscar De La Hoya was rushed to his first 'World' title, in comparison with the likes of Floyd Mayweather, Andre Ward and Roy Jones Jr: after turning pro at age 19, he had 12 fights (including the title win over Bredahl) in the first 16 months of his pro career.

Moreover, Oscar debuted in the same weight class that Floyd did, and won his first World title in the same weight class as Floyd.
