Who mentioned scared ? Pathetically grasping at the Mercer miracle fight is actually quite telling. I shows that we, the multi-faceted fans that are capable of appreciating both sports, have hit a nerve, or more specifically, Conor has you shitting you're drawers.

Full points for the marketing of this 'fight'. It is an absolute stinker and yet it is the talk of the town. Brilliant marketing.

They got Paulie shilling for them hard! He's almost single-highhandedly rescuing this joke fight - and they're undoubtedly paying him well for his services!

What amazes me, however, is that anyone outside of these deluded UFC fanboys (see many of the posts in this sequence) actually buys this BS!!! Like I said, PT Barnum was 100 percent right when he said there's a sucker born every minute!!

Comparing Mercer to Floyd and Tim to Conor shows us the phenomenal ability you have to correlate. That has to be the most idiotic, irrelevant comparison possible. Good job bozo!:wanker

I doubt it. It's going to get all the UFC/MMA crowd and few real boxing fans. It will still outsell Canelo/GGG but
I don't think anyone who originally was going to get the Alvarez/Golov fight will change their mind and purchase the
    Floyd/McG fight instead.

On a side note, I've stayed away from any topic concerning the Aug 26th fight, mainly due to a lack of interest, and
knowing very little about McGregor I recently wondered what it would do to boxing if he was to pull the upset.

We(boxing fans) would never hear the end of it from UFC fans.

you really think paulie took those bombs to the face, just to hype the fight? Paulie is already a millionaire with a commentating gig.

When McJoke falls hard to the canvas, out cold like Sylvia, you will eat those words UFC fanboy. Boxing is leagues above MMA, and this fight - like the Mercer-Sylvia fight - is going to cement that status with the broader public.

Obviously Conor had to be the one to crossover to boxing because Floyd is fearful and incapable of transitioning to the far more complex sport. On the other hand, Conor is making his transition to boxing look effortless. If you can't draw a correlation from that situation as to which sport is "leagues above" the other, then you are beneath my contempt. I'm not a mma fanboy, just a realist that has boxing experience.

Talk to me after Mayweather, a skilled practitioner of the sweet science of boxing, exposes the Neanderthal skills of the "best" your "complex" sport has to offer. The only question in this fight is whether Mayweather carries McClown for the distance and makes a fool out of him, or whether he chooses to take advantage of his fragile whiskers and lay him out cold. I hope it's the latter, but the former will do just fine to prove what's the superior sport!

"Making his transition to boxing look effortless" haha Based on what? I can just imagine you typing that in your wheelchair, bashing the keys with a sausage roll

You seem insecure doing the ''mma vs boxing'' thing. Why do you care to try and prove mma is a ''superior sport''?
