Could Ward have Doubled Marciano over into a fetal position with a body shot?

What weight are they fighting at? Rocky would be a zombie at 175. If he came in at 185-190, then no,
he wouldn't go down with a body shot; he never did. He did go down with great shots to his chin, but
    not his body.

No way does Rocky tire like Kovalev did. Stamina was one of Rocky's strong points.

Unless your Seamus or another boxing amateur you would not believe any light hwt would be able to do anything with Marciano who was an ATG hwt champion.

One of the reasons to fight out of a crouch is to better protect the body from attack.

Wasn't Archie Moore a light hwt and floored Marciano? Isn't flooring Marciano doing something with Marciano? I mean, only an uninformed boxing amateur wouldn't know that Archie, a light aged HW, did something significant to Marciano.

Michael Spinks at least in his heavyweight form could have put up a good fight. Ezzard Charles on the right night may have pulled it off.

Michael Moorer may have done something

But Kov is not significantly lighter than Marciano, maybe even heavier than Marciano was when he won the HW title. At what weight did Kov come into the Ward fights? Not at the weigh-in, but at the actual fight. The biggest difference would be seven pounds if Kov came in at 175 against Marciano's 182.

Archie Moore was as much a lhw against Marciano as Holyfield and Moorer were cws/lhws when they fought each other.

Amateurs! Moore, Charles, Spinks, Moorer all fought as heavyweights when they fought heavyweights. Moore was the leading hwt contender when he fought Marciano, Charles was a former hwt champion when he fought Marciano, Spinks was a heavyweight when he fought Cooney and Holmes. Moorer was a heavyweight when he won the hwt championship.

I understood your statement of a light HW as being a small HW and not as being or not being a HW as specified back then at the moment of the fight.

    BTW
To avoid equivocation one needs to be clear.
