Ingo in the top 5 worst Champions?

Olympic silver medalist in 1952, European Champion 1956-59 and 62-63, World Champion 1959-60, The Ring Fighter of the year 1958 and 1959, 39th greatest heavy of all time (The Ring 1998).

This all in a time when the titles actually meant something, I don't see how he fits in with the likes of Rahman or Briggs.

Wilder is a greater WBC Champ than Sam Peter.

Gerrie Coetze (RSA), after three losses (two of them in title fights) he wins his third shot at the title by beating Michael Dokes to gain the WBA belt in 1983, then precedes to lose it in his first defence against Greg Page.

Chris Martin is probably the worst ever given how the title became and how he then won the title.

Samuel Peter conducted himself way better as a champion then Wilder. Won the belt, challenged Wlad to unify all four belts, got to fight the (mandatory) WBC Emeritus Vitali instead.

Even though his reign was much shorter he was a much more worthy champion.

    LOL!!!

There were no belts on the line when Peter fought Wlad. He never had a belt in both fights.

He won the WBC against Oleg and lost it in his first defence against Vitali.

When did Peter win a belt which he then defended it against Wlad in a unification fight?

    Help me to understand?
What belt did he win? Peter never fought Wlad in any unification match.

Mmmm a lot of people would say carnera. But honestly, I dont think that you can say that a guy that won a title in the ring is not legit. I dont know, it's not easy dude, even the worst HW champion in history deserves some respect imho.

I'll try to help you to understand even though I think I'm a bit under qualified for your case.

Won the belt, challenged Wlad to unify all four belts, got to fight the (mandatory) WBC Emeritus Vitali instead.
