    The 15 or so fighters that can be discussed as potentially being "pound for pound top 10" is pretty weak right now. Ward, for a P4P King, is also weak. Not because of his skills, but because of his inactivity before 2016 and the close/controversial nature of his first fight with Kovalev.

    Roman Gonzalez needs to just look good and beat Rungvisai and we can have a legitimate solid P4P King again.

    Ward is p4p by default. There are a few old legs that are one bad performance away to be dropped out of discussion. Ward is one of them together with kovalev, Rigo, GGG, Gonzales.

    It's not resume that gets you on pound for pound lists, it's dominant displays of skill. Lomachenko, Garcia, Ward, and Golovkin are on the list more for how they look than who they beat. Salido has great wins but he's not on anybodies list because he isn't dominant or flashy.

    Beat some scrubs after inactivity.
    2 win with BIG asterisk over p4per in Kovalev.

    Truth is, I don't think ward will be hanging around for the young guns at lightheavy. He will either retire or fight Bellew

    Yeah you're most likely right about that. I can't envision Ward sticking around to take on Bivol, The Nail and Beterbiev. I'd bet anything Gvozdyk stops him.

I might talk to Wardo's on here, get along with them well even, but when push comes to shove, you're the last ones that get to leave the ship when captain Serge's vessel is going down.
