1. Meldrick Taylor (fastest overall I have ever seen) 2. RJJ-Khan (fastest single punch speed I have ever seen)
taylor. hundreds of boxers would be speed demons if technique didnt matter, so shoe shining and slap boxing doesnt count.
He hit hard before his metacarpals turned into Twiglets. Accuracy was pretty good too when he wasn't just throwing air shots to keep the opponent on the defensive or to try and create openings. Super Joe = Mozart or Ludwig Van?
Depends on what you're talking about. It's easier to get some speed when you slap. It's harder to generate speed with great leverage to actually make the punch do something. I mean the idea after all is to hurt the opponent as much as possible. That said RJJ (massive chemical enhancement) though was probably the fastest puncher on that list p4p when we're talking about a single legit shot. Not a slapfest. Khan was also very fast, but his power was average. Ray Leonard was also no joke as far stringing together some hard shots. And Manny Pacquiao could generate power combos faster than anybody else on that list. He simply recovered faster than everybody else. After Pac threw a punch he was already in position to throw another power punch while everybody was still recalibrating. It was brilliant. Lehlo Ledwaba was actually faster than Manny Pacquiao single shot wise, but Pac's combos were unreal.
1. Don't know Floyd is brought up because he's not on the list that the topic creator made. 2. Zab Judah who is on the list was faster than FMJ with a single shot.
Got to say in the first Ray Leonard Duran fight I saw Leonard just explode out of nowhere with a perfect leverage left hook with insane speed. And I was like "FFS, that was incredible". Can't remember what round it was, but it was savage. Duran took it pretty well though.
Jones. Followed by Camacho and Leonard. LMAO @ people saying Khan. The low IQ on the general forum never ceases to amaze. Amir Khan is NOT top 5 all time in terms of handspeed, you idiots.
