In Mayweather's prime years, remember, he wanted nothing to do with Margarito because of Margarito's workrate, long reach, and size. What Margarito doesn't have is, movement, but he compensates for that through sheer will power and size.

In the first fight, Maidana gave Mayweather one of his toughest fights, but let's be honest when we say that Maidana's punching technique is pretty low on the spectrum in boxing. Plus Maidana comes at you in straight lines, and wasn't as big and tough as Margarito which allowed Floyd to have some success in using his strength against Maidana and manhandling to a certain extent in the second fight.

Maidana was a 140 lb fighter coming up and was an okay puncher, but clearly not a guy with the capacity to knock people out in one shot.

When Mayweather took the McGregor fight, like me, and like everyone else, he assumed that McGregor had no skills. Unfortunately, he's wrong. And you don't have to box 20 years to be as good as Maidana and Margarito.

McGregor has something that only one of his opponents had in the last several fights, which is movement. This time, not only does he have to deal with movement, he has to deal with SIZE.

Not only does McGregor have size, but he will absolutely dominate Mayweather in the clinches. You are talking about a guy who is not known for high level ground skills in MMA, but in boxing, he has the best grappling skills in the game today by a wide margin.

But he won't use strength alone, which is what he demonstrated against Malinaggi by totally dominating him in that clip, plus positioning him in such a way where he could land devastating punches. No, McGregor offers MOVEMENT. His movement and his punching power and his volume of punches will be what's decisive in this fight.

This is going to be Mayweather's most difficult fight. I will not be surprised if McGregor knocks Mayweather out. I will not be surprised if Mayweather wins either, but I will be surprised if Mayweather makes it out unscathed.

Given McGregor's obvious advantages from the physical side, I would like to see Mayweather pull of a masterclass, which will prove with enough skill almost anything can be done.

However, I think I will put money on McGregor by early KO. He is very confident in his punching power. I can make a lot of money like that. I will hedge my bets by just betting that the fight will end in a KO, one way or the other.

I got prank called yesterday. It was a set up, but I have such confidence in my punching power that I didn't care who it was on the other end of the line, I would knock him out and I told him as much, as I was ready to go to war. That type of confidence is real. When you know you have that type of life changing power, you know who the real G is.

People are underestimating McGregor's gangster. That goes a long way, especially if you know how to move.

Aside from the freak KO of Ortiz, it's been ten years and 11 fights since Mayweather's last real KO, actually
a TKO, over Ricky Hatton. 12 years since his TKO over Sharmba Mitchell.

Despite all his talking about having to KO McGoon, I don't see it happening. For all you fools
who are going to buy this event, you're going to get a replay of May-Pac. I.e. a very boring
fight where McGoon doesn't land a single effective punch on Floyd. No way FLoyd engages with him.

Nobody's buying this BS TJ Hypemeister - other than maybe a few testosterone infested UFC fanboys who know jack about boxing!

Boxing fans recognize that he opposite is true, this will be one of Mayweather's easiest fights. He's going to comprehensively outbox McFraud before he knocks him out cold, as soon as he wants to.

It could very well end up like this, but based on what I've seen from McGregor's footwork, I think he can trap Floyd, plus he's a lot bigger with 2 inches more in reach.

Floyd will have to close distance because McGregor optimizes his length, which is one of the contributing factors in his style.

This is not an easy fight. He's not going to give Floyd many escape routes. This guy is not a slow-footed Canelo or Maidana. I'm not sure what people are watching.

So you think McGregor is worse than Margarito? Do you think McGregor is worse than Maidana?

If so, I don't agree with you. I can tell just based on footwork alone that it's not the case.

In other words, if this noob beats Floyd, it's proof that Fraud has been pulling the wool over our eyes all this time.

Maidana would light McGregor up like a bonfire.

Yes, he's MUCH worse than all those guys, who - whatever their respective flaws - were real BOXERS.

This guy is a no fight NOVICE, from some other inferior sport, POSING as a boxer. He will be exposed as exactly that whenever this fraudulent fight is held. This is going to be as one sided as it gets.

That's not proof of that at all. McGregor is not a noob. Like I said, McGregor is a master of timing and he's an athlete.

Mayweather is the same. You could teach Mayweather how to kick properly, and Mayweather would be a dominant "striker" in MMA. These guys are athletes that have amazing timing. You can't really teach timing.

McGregor has experience, but most importantly for this fight, he has SIZE. I'm telling you that his size, skill, punching power, and timing is going to put a LOT of pressure on Floyd.

Essentially Floyd has only one way to win the fight. He has to catch McGregor coming in, which will be more difficult than past opponents because of McGregor's reach and movement, but he also has to move constantly, avoid clinches, and not take any shots, especially with that left hand.

If you think that is easy, I don't know what to tell you. That is not easy to do. It's even harder to do for a 40 year old man. I'm telling you, if Mayweather wins this fight, it should be considered one of his best wins.

Fighting is fighting. Instead of focusing on countering kicks, punches, and rushes, he only has to focus on boxing.

He has good technique and good footwork. His punches are sharp, crisp, and HARD.

His grappling skills will allow him to dominate in the clinch. I don't know what else to tell you.

If you can't see that this is a hard fight, you need to get out of your own way. Even Jeff Mayweather was CLEARLY shook when he saw what McGregor was capable of.

He even said as much when he said that McGregor is exposing what he's capable of. Not exposing his flaws, but exposing what he's capable of, making me believe that the Mayweather camp had to make some changes simply based off that small clip of McGregor positioning Malinaggi in such a way where he could land his shots.

I would be shook too if I was blindsided. You ever seen anyone as confident as this kid?

    I can't help you here.

Dustin Nichols was Wilder's best win because of his SIZE :eusa_whistle:

The arrogance of the boxing community is what put Floyd in this position. We all thought that McGregor was garbage. It turns out, we were wrong.

Now Floyd has to face a guy that might be able to floor him with one shot. Unfortunately, there is no way out.

Think about it like this, if Floyd had the choice between the Margarito that beat Cotto in the first fight vs McGregor who beat the hell outta Malinaggi and has one shot KO power, who do you think he would fight?

Mayweather might have ****ed up, but hey, we'll see if he can put on a masterclass. I'm looking forward to see if he can.
