What are you even talking about? 'Weight training for legs' Squats pal....get in the gym and squat....or use your 7kg dumbbells and do some stupid walks about the steps in your garden and never get anywhere....I don't care.

If all you want is to be able to be the aggressor, but still be light on your feet, I don't think weight training for your legs are the answer.

Your probably just better of training on your boxing skills, skills that can enable you to be the aggressor (that I also don't hold in opposite of being light on the feet).

When trying to apply pressure, do you feel that it is your leg strength that is hindering you?

Before you posted on here, you posted a combined TWO words in the last 7 months. They were "Lol" and "Oh".

This thread has already been sufficiently answered. If you actually read anything in it you would see that I found the solution on my own.

light on the feet is much more then strength training.

If you do only weights you will only get your legs stronger, it means also harder punch. But to make your legs lighter, you need to do additional exercices. The main exercise must be boxing movement - thats where you get your legs lighter, doing lot of circle, lateral, pivotal, jumpy movements with side steps, crouches and all other boxing movements.

Strength exercise is not just weight training to get your 1RM better, there is explosive strength which you get with olympic weightlifting exercises where high force and velocity movements are involved, or without weights like knees to chests, clap pushups, muscle-ups to name just few exercises.

There is endurance strength where you do a lot of repetitions without or with small weights. With endurance training we condition our legs to last longer in a fight.

This is just a small part of whole boxing strength training, its very complex subject and every type of training can be used in right time.

Yes...I struggle to get internet access due to my job, being away from home so often and having to work in certain parts of the world that make frequent these forums difficult. I'm glad that you found a solution to your question and wish you the best in your training and endeavours. Hywl.
