Mayweather/McGregor Fight Discussion

McGregor is going to come out with a similar strategy to Joe Calzaghe, who in turn had a similar strategy to the late great Harry Greb. Perpetual motion.

He's going to throw so many punches and at so many different angles, that Floyd will be forced to defend. When Floyd does counter, McGregor is going to look to capitalize by countering Floyd's counter with his own much harder counter which has KO all over it.

Floyd can only win if he can hurt McGregor. If he can't hurt McGregor, Floyd gets knocked out. End of story.

 

Mayweather can beat this guy with one arm tied behind his back. Real end of story.

 

What record? The record for a retired undefeated fighter is Packey McFarland 70-0. So Mayweather is going to have get 20 more bouts with wrestlers sanctioned before he gets too old to beat even them.

Marciano has the HW record which is more impressive given it's the highest risk division with no size limits.

 

I hate Floyd too ... well, maybe not hate, dislike might be better ... and I know for a fact Floyd is going to wipe the floor with McGregor. In fact, I bet on him. If Floyd FAILS to utterly destroy McG, he should hide himself in a cave.

Remember, Mayweather wanted no piece of Margarito. This guy is MUCH more formidable than Margarito ever was.

Some similarities are still there. Size, reach, and volume punching. In this case, 25 lbs heavier with 2 inches in reach.

That's where the similarities end. McGregor has much better punching technique, far better movement, and far more power. If you don't think this is a dangerous fight for Mayweather you are blinded by something. Maybe hatred? I don't know. I don't want to speculate.

I've been blinded by hatred before though. Just let it go and open your mind, so you can see the truth.

i don't think conor has any chance by putting any legitimate boxing strategy together against floyd, the only chance i give him is if he can walk through floyds shots and have the stamina to go balls out to get the ko/tko.....that is if mystic mac does not get mystified by a boxing ring, the big lights of the biggest moment in his life and mayweathers superior boxing skills.

lol I don't hate anyone, not even Trump. I've seen videos of McGregor sparring and he is a rank amateur at boxing at best. There is no way that Mayweather loses to a scrub like him. lol at McGregor being better than Margarito. I don't like Margarito but he would literally destroy McGregor. It's a cash grab by both parties, pure and simple.

To be fair, he sparred Van Heerden who spanked him. But Chris did say McGregor was better than people gave him credit for. Then the interviewer asked whether he could beat guys like Floyd, Brook, Garcia etc etc. A long list. Chris just laughed and said no way. That tells me all I need to know. That and actually seeing the video, which makes it clear the level Mc is at.
