He was in that frame of mind because he was scared shitless of Tyson. It was written all over his face. If he was fighing someone else, he wouldn't have had the same frame of mind.

Watch the first 5 rounds and compare with Tyson-Bruno. Really nothing in it.

 

People forget the little matter that Bruno was fouling like a mother fcuker, it's pretty obvious that Tyson wasn't going to look his best with an opponent making it a scrappy affair. James Smith says "hello."

if he was fighting someone else Spinks was going to be in a better mood to fight but if you transport Spinks in that mood just about anybody beats him. People can say it was Tyson who made Spinks feel and behave so cooperative which is fair but it is also fair to say with hindsight what an easy task that was. Spinks was not going to offer any kind of resistance was he? Everybody looks great with nothing coming back.

Tucker was a decent Tyson performance, just because he didnt whack the guy out doesnt mean much added to the facy Tucker fought negatively. If anything it was impressive that Tyson fought a disciplined fight. He didnt get ratted and discouraged, as many claim he does after not being able to KO an opponent. He knew he had the fight won so just boxed. The mistake people make with him is to assume if he doesnt blast them out he is lacking in some way. Maybe its just possible Tyson chose a different strategy?
