I'm telling you, I didn't believe it until I saw it. I'm 100% certain that will be his strategy though.

He's going to look to overwhelm Mayweather with punches and only throw hard shots when he sees an opening. If you take a look at McGregor's footwork, he's going to be switching stances, moving to the side, doing things that Mayweather hasn't seen before in the professional game.

I feel like if Mayweather can't hurt this guy, he might seriously get knocked out. I can see him getting at least knocked down as they both land punches at the same time, but McGregor's punch is harder than Floyd's punch.

This is not an easy fight for Mayweather. I'm telling you. This is worse than Margarito. He was honestly blindsided. I was too.

Elite boxer's have hard time landing on PBF clean. WTF do you think Conor is going to do? That will be the difference in this fight. Conor isn't used to fighting someone who's as defensively good as PBF is.

 

I agree, but he does have tremendous timing and if he can man handle Floyd in the clinch, he's going to land shots like behind the head and in other spots where Floyd is vulnerable and slow Floyd down.

Floyd has to keep up a consistent body attack because McGregor will be throwing punches all night, just like Calzaghe.

Remember, Floyd is 40 years old and McGregor is going to outweigh him by 25 lbs. McGregor is going to be able shift his weight in such a way to drain Mayweather's energy.

It's going to be tough. I just don't see how this is an easy fight for Mayweather. I think this could prove to be his hardest fight.

 

I don't even like Floyd and I know he's going to wipe his ass with Conor.

 

Going through the ropes head first, sideways as Cintron did, or backwards as Hopkins did would definitely be a sad finish to an otherwise illustrious career. Although I tend to view it as unlikely I don't dismiss it as a total impossibility.

Conor McGregor fans are basically the flat-Earthers of the sports world. Some of them are genuinely crazy and truly believe the things they say they believe. Most of them are probably just trolling.

 

I watch both sports, but more MMA.

Conor was tired by the 3rd round in the second Diaz fight. THE THIRD ROUND.

Conor better be enjoying these next 2 weeks.. because he is going to get mocked endlessly after this fight. I guess you can take a lot of jokes for 80 million dollars though.

Like if McGregor stops Floyd, I feel like some people are going to be on suicide watch. It's not that big of a deal. These things happen.

Stop looking at it like it's UFC vs boxing. That hatred is what got it to this point. It's just two talented athletes fighting. It doesn't have anything to do with anything else unless you make it like that. Oh well, it is what it is.

Seems like you might be invoking Marcianos curse by making a thread such as this. But I hate to tell you, Marciano gas the record as the undefeated champion when he retired- as a HEAVYWEIGHT, so he will not be breaking Marcianos record as such.

Back in the day they had more than 2 fights per year and they might have foughts somes bums here and there, but at least they were still trained boxers and not some wannabe thinking that on his very first boxing fight he will take over boxing if he beats the old post prime version of Floyd.
