Good list. Personally, I think #10 Is the hardest punch I've ever seen. I have no idea how Holmes got up.

i agree that it is asinine... especially considering many of those covered multiple punches or outright combos.

Who's to say this wasn't harder than all the rest?

good list. We always forget some great ones. Jackson vs. Norris or Drayton. Hearns vs. Cuevas.. McCallum vs. Curry is one of my favorites because Mike set it up after Donald made a mistake.

The famous contorted face picture of JJ Walcott was actually from a Marciano punch earlier in the fight.

Dago Wop thinks Tua was as slow as Galento.

Apart from the recipients reaction to the punch how can we measure them? And since each individual has differing powers of absorption and recovery and then at differing times of a fight ,its like playing darts blindfolded. I'll say this much I've no idea how Holmes got up from that Shavers right hand!

The right hand that Louis ko'd Braddock with, the one that drove his teeth through his mouthpiece into his lips would be firmly in my top 10.

Any punch which doesn't result in a knockout doesn't belong on there.

    That includes Shavers.

The only fights I'd consider worthy of being there are Tua, Foster, Jackson, Hearns and Marciano. Even then there are plenty of HW fights that could have made the list. Tyson vs Botha (or indeed any of his victims that got one-shotted), Wilder vs Szpilka, Wlad vs Chambers, Rahman vs Lewis (almost identical to Shavers vs Holmes only it resulted in an actual stoppage), Lewis vs Rahman, Ruddock vs Dokes, Peter vs Williams, Maskaev vs Rahman (for the novelty value), Mansour vs Kassi, Bruno vs Coetzee, Cooney vs Norton, etc.

That's not even taking into account the plethora of brutal punches thrown at the lower weights (Pac vs Hatton? Marquez vs Pac? Abraham vs Gevor?)

Shavers would've knocked out a buffalo with that punch. Shavers probably wonders these days how Holmes got up.

Funny how a mere human in Holmes was able to survive then, isn't it?

Ruddock's final left hand against Dokes was probably the hardest punch ever thrown that landed because with Dokes already out on his feet, Ruddock had the time to set his feet and really put all his power into the one final shot without fear of it been blocked or been hit back.

How do people get those youtube clips onto here?
