Tommy Hearns vs Rocky Marciano & Archie Moore

As we know, Hearns moved all the way up to cruiserweight, which made him the size of many of the men Marciano fought.

He also moved up to light heavyweight and won a title there. How could Hearns do against these two. He's tall, rangy and carried his power up well.

 

Hearns knocks Marciano out in one round.

 

He gets wrecked by both of them, particularly Marciano.

Well if wack jobs think Rocky Marciano could beat Lennx Lewis, Mike Tyson, George Foreman and others becasue "size doesn't matter" then Tommy Hearns should be able to beat Marciano. The funny thing is Archie Moore turned pro weighing 140 pounds and you see how well a washed up version did against Marciano. So why wouldn't a much better athlete in Tommy Hearns not do just as well or better?

You will see but Tommy Hearns had a poor chin and was iced out by middleweights and guys around that size. Well so did Moore. He was destroyed in 1 round be Leonard Morrow a club fighter. So logic would dictate that Hearns with his height, reach and athletic ability could out box Marciano and maybe even TKO him just like Ted Lowry a natural 160 pounder almost did.

Moore's prime was at light heavy and on top of that he defeated a number of top heavyweight contenders. And yes, I do think Moore could have beaten Jerry Quarry. He did beat the man who beat the man who beat Quarry. Moore was a legitimate heavyweight contender.

 

It would be very uncomfortable watching Marciano punch Hearns' face into all those different contortions. Ouch.

Moore v Hearns would be interesting but I give the edge to Moore. Probably by 10th rd knockout.

 

Marciano would tear Tommy apart .wouldn't be pretty.Moore stops tommy mid rnds .great fighter that he was he has no business sharing a ring with these Two.

Marciano knocks Hearns out with the first solid punch he lands. Probably within three rounds.

Moore would also KO Hearns in a bit more competitive fight. Hearns boxing well is ahead after six rounds by gets starched in round seven.

 

Now that I think about it, Marciano likely would have decapitated Hearns in a way that would make the Walcott KO look like Marciano was being nice.

 

Please a little credit here, Emanuel Stewart wouldn't put Hearns in the same Taxi with these two let alone the ring.
