Even if he was to try and kick Floyd, I believe that with Floyd's IQ it'll miss anyway

That's true. They don't care one way or the other.

I had this senior citizen about to throw hands when I suggested that professional wrestling is rehearsed. That was way back when it had not been openly admitted that it was rehearsed and many fans believed it to be genuine combat. Today, despite the admission that it is indeed rehearsed, they still pay out good money to see the show.

    Discuss.

Dave Moretti is by far and away the best judge in the game. Thank God they got him.

You need to worry about Jeff Horn beating Pac up again and forget about Mayweather.

Ah Moretti, he'll have his usual 118-110 scorecard for Floyd ready before the bout, so Floyd just needs to make sure he doesn't get KO'd and he wins a decision whatever happens.

I hope Floyd wins by KO early. My goodness, the idiots on YouTube and in the news really are beyond delusional. At the same type I hope for a double KO for coning the public.

I wouldn't be surprised if this garbage was fixed though. I wouldn't put a penny on it.

When I review comments on youtube, I can't help but wonder if people are paid for their racist diatribe.

Is this really the nation's current attitude? I haven't been keeping up with the news, outside of financial news, which by the way, is very disconcerting to say the least.

It seems as if to me, there are a few actors involved in manipulating the general public to hate one another, and they are doing a brilliant job because everywhere you turn, there is hatred.

    It's sad, but not unexpected.

So what is the minimum Floyd has to do to not make this 'bad for boxing'?

I'd say stop McGregor within six and Floyd and boxing's reputation remain unsullied. But if an mma fighter can jump in a boxing ring against the at least best boxer of the last 20 years and lasts longer than six or puts up stiff competition and maybe wins rounds... boxing will look like a joke.

There's too much emphasis on Conor winning being bad for boxing. We've never seen a phenomenon like this in the history of sports. Where one fighter is representing an entire sport and another fighter is representing a sport which is the sport that the bout is being contested in. It's also ironic considering MMA is called Mixed Martial Arts. MMA is basically a mixture of sports in itself.

This fight is so crazy because of the MMA community banding together and making this about MMA vs Boxing as a whole and your boxing pride is feeding right into all this. This is specifically why the fight is becoming so big, because of the way you think "Floyd has to win, or else boxing will be a joke".

Is there a problem with boxing fans rooting for Conor? If Conor wins, it could be good for boxing because then we may have a new boxing star on our hands and the first crossover star in both sports. Again the whole MMA pride vs boxing pride is completely ridiculous. MMA itself is a mixture of sports in itself. If Conor wins, it's not going to stop Canelo vs Triple G from being huge. If Conor wins, we could get Conor wanting to continue his boxing career vs Canelo or Triple G. Or if it's close, we could get a rematch with Floyd.

There’s this idea amongst some boxing fans that if you think Conor has a chance, that somehow means you know nothing about boxing or don’t understand how good Mayweather is or don’t understand that it takes years of training to reach the top of boxing and all that. It’s not that people who think Conor has a chance thinks that, it’s that they just see Conor as a freak athlete who is proven as a puncher and can do well in a boxing match. There’s the unknown of him never having been in a boxing match, but you’re acting like Conor has no chance. The guy obviously has a chance when you look at the size advantage he has and his quickness and punching power.

Of course the conventional wisdom should be that Mayweather is going to find a way to win, he always had, so that’s normal, but you’re gone overboard with the Conor has to chance because he’s never boxed before. When the bell rings, both guys have a chance because that’s what boxing is.

We have no idea what kind of performance Conor will bring to the table, so lets not act like we do. This has become a circus with all the MMA vx Boxing nonsense. At the end of the day it’s two fighters with mad skills getting in a ring and fighting. Some MMA fans may be delusional thinking Conor is just going to destroy Floyd. Many Pacquiao fans thought Manny was going to destroy Floyd so they turned out to be delusional too. Every fight is different and this one is unlike anything we’ve ever seen so given that we can’t expect to know what’s gonna happen.
