Wladimir Klitschko names his top-5 P4P fighters of all time

Its an awful list and clearly not something he has done any analysis or taken any academic rigour to construct.

Its meaningless in all honesty. Vitali, Ali, Louis and Marciano is more like a list of HW fighters he likes than anything else.

 

I think he just listed his favourite boxers or the ones he respects most.

 

I think that was a point he was trying to make. That's a list I'd prefer to see more fighters make anyway.

 

Biased! All of them were heavyweights! It`s like the glamour of the big guys, he only picked Hearns because he worked with him. Ali was put in because he was a legend in and out of the ring, nothing said about his speed or reflexes, he picked Marciano because everyone`s always talking about the unbeaten record but p4p some of Mayweather`s opponents would have given Marciano problems and probably would have ahead like Charles and Walcott were, he should have expanded, Louis again he`s gone with the name heavyweight no explanation, Louis may have been the greatest heavyweight ever so explain why.

That isn't a top 5 p4p list. It's his five favorite boxers. Joe Louis, Muhammad Ali, Marciano, Thomas Hearns, and his brother.

 

Muhambin ali should be no where near that top 5 list, though I guess he felt obliged to include his name to please some of his fans and avoid the inevitable backlash.

 

Hearns Ali and Louis could be on the list but not Marciano or his brother.

To be honest i feel like wlad never had that much interest in boxing beside doing it by himself.
You rarely saw that guy on any major boxing event. Tyson fury and carl froch are like on every second boxing card of the year.

4) Wlad himself. He was being modest. A ten year stretch defeating the best fighters of his era.


Ali was a very good fighter but overrated. Log off

 

calm down and learn boxing. Marciano fought an old Louis and somehow he gets on the list with the shitty guys he fought. Stop your cussing and spend that energy reading about boxing and learning the history.
