I think that the vast majority of us on this forum haven't come close to what Mallignaggi has accomplished in boxing so he has my respect.

No shame in losing to the far younger 24 year-old Eggington. Mallinaggi is 37. That's a 13 year difference. Eggingnton is no slouch either.

 

Paulie's a professional athlete and public figure, therefore he is subject to criticism. Paulie's a punk and I'm glad his fighting career wound down the way that it did.

Why do you consider him a punk? The reason I ask is because to me a punk is a cowardly person with no heart and Pauii has shown plenty of heart in his fights when losing and the outcome being obviously hopeless. Always gave me the impression that he preferred to be carried out on his shield than to throw in the towel. So how is he a punk?

 

Paulie had a decent career made a lot of money and landed him self a fantastic job at showtime and has established himself as one of the best commentators and analysts in the game. I wish him nothing but the best.

 

paulie was dumb going to camp fat and out of shape, then asking to spar 12 rounds with an in shape 29 year old, also coming off getting knocked out in his last fight.

 

Paulie has a disturbing obsession w/ Pac and has talked **** about Pac for years. I dislike the hypocrisy of obsessively accusing someone of being on PEDs and only to work with Memo and then give free passes to Floyd (IV) and JMM (doping). Decent commentator, but outside of that, he's a disgustingly hateful creature.

Watching Paulie take a beating is pugilistic erotica to me. I hope Paulie keeps fighting for this reason.

 

My problem with Pauly is him going to McGregors camp in the first place and trying to make himself part of the story. He is the press now and rule #1 of the press is don't make yourself part of the story. What was the point of that really?

Did you see when he stunned eggy with the right hand, then landed about 10 flush unanswered punches on eggys chin and punched himself out before the bell came in. His power was pretty poor, and i know people obsess over power, but im pretty sure a regular joe would have atleast dropped eggy with 10 punches on the chin.
