Basketball and Soccer can't be compared to boxing and MMA. Hurt business is quite similar. And it need lot of totally different skills you don't have a clue. Yes it needs lot of skills. But it needs lot of balls.strenght.toughness.not affraid to get hit.keep pushing when you are hurt. Overcome adversity.

Boxing and fighting is so much more. As Marciano and countless others have proved.you don't need to be the most skilled.

No i'm boxing fan. Or actually fan of seeing 2tough dudes throw leather. I prefer using only hands.

Yes boxers are skilled and tough mother****ers.so are MMA guys..

i don't diss anybody. Just saying that they are not so different.

Hurt business is totally different from other sports...

there mind.body.toughness.hard work. Everything could overcome skills.

boxing is called science. In the end. It's 2man hitting each others. Aand there are still some tough individuals who believe themselfs. And are really tough..

Gatti was not skilled at all. Margarito..Marciano..

boxing/mma you need to be tough..

    Jon Jones is tough..

    Floyd is tough..

    Conor is tough..

and back to everybody loses phase.. yes that too happens.when young hungry lion emerges.

i don't say Floyd will lose.because he is one of the grratest ever in boxing.

But age is undefeated. And Conor has right set of mind. And he is open to life in general.and wants to be the greatest.probably puts the work too.

why people are so ignorant still? Why we don't go chase the dream.

i can train 4yrs boxing hardcore and i will beat Floyd. It's all about your mindset manytimes.it sounds ****ing ridiculous. But that's how greatness will born.

you can't be great being annoyed by what others do. Just start doing and stop excuses.

Conor believes.so do i believe. So does Floyd.

but Conor can WIN. Floyd knows that too.

And when you go box as mma guy.they put you in traditional boxing stance etc.. **** it. Do like Conor and fight how you know.

That's a mistake many dudes do. Of course you are getting outboxed and look horrible when you try to just box..be free and go there to fight.

Hope i'm not too much misunerstood.

But of course. Boxing is sport where is no place for imagination.so i get flamed.

Boxing is regressed so much.. it was really gueensberry rules long time ago..now referees don't allow real man hand to hand fighting. Old referees let dudes fight.

and here Floyd speaks the rules..and so does countless other boxing hippies..

    Boxing community has become beta.

I would compare going from mma to boxing like going from being a samurai to trying to beat one of the best fencers ever in a fencing match.

They both use swords, though one sword is a lot safer than the other. (4 oz gloves to 8 oz gloves)
They are both technically combat, though one is much more limited. (boxing obviously just punches)
They are both big on technique, but one is MUCH more reliant on it. (Sloppy striking vs Boxing)
The samurai can attack any part of the body, while the fencer is just upper body.

I really don't get why people continue to use the "It's like LeBron James playing soccer!" argument. it's not even close to that. MMA and Boxing are obviously similar.

There is no question in my mind as to which sport is more physically and psychologically demanding.

I think that's all part of a plan to provide him with an opportunity to make millions via a match with Connors.

Let's get it on, this fight will be INCREDIBLE. 1 week.

2 greats getting it on from their respective sports.

    This is great stuff.

No its not two greats getting it on from their respective sports.
Last I checked the fight will be fought with boxing rules.

How I see it, Mayweather had a better chance of beating McGregor under MMA rules than McGregor has of beating Mayweather under boxing rules.

So no, this isn't a fair contest by a long shot, and I absolutely will not shell out 100 bucks to watch a complete mismatch of a contest.

Mayweather has hurt the sport enough. First he fights Manny Pacquiao nearly 5 years passed its expiration date, now he's putting up a circus and calling it a record setting 50-0.
This circus act against a man that's never boxed a professional fight in his life is going to count on Mayweather's record. LOL!

The best thing that can happen to boxing is for this PPV to fail miserably and discourage other fighters from following the same blueprint Mayweather has used through much of his career.
