"You have to worry about that, but knowing [what has happened with Canelo's fights in the past] - it's up to us not to allow Canelo to make it out of twelve. If we let this happen to us, it's our fault," Sanchez told ESPN Deportes.
It's hugely disrespectful to suggest that Canelo has gotten gift decisions in the past that he hasn't deserved. It's preposterous to suggest that Canelo Triple G will be rigged in favor of Canelo if it goes the distance. It's pure paranoia and just an utter lack of confidence in your fighter to say that. Bottom line, Canelo earned his wins over Trout and Lara. If there was ever a fight that was rigged in favor of a fighter, it was Mayweather Canelo. I could make the same argument that Canelo had no chance of winning a decision in that fight, that it was rigged for Mayweather to win, but I don't stoop that low because I don't want to take away from Mayweather's performance that night, or put into question his win, even though he was feinted out of his mind repeatedly by Canelo and pushed to his absolute limits. What happened with Canelo's fights in the past (specifically vs Trout and Lara) was he won by impressing the judges with clean effective punching, defense, ring generalship, and effective aggression. Suggesting that he didn't deserve those victories is incredibly delusional.
Canelo's judging has been very, very favourable over the years. You'd have to be a total fanboy not to have noticed it.
Sounds more like he was asked about it, and gave a very reasonable answer. If you're worried about getting robbed then, don't leave it to the judges.
What?! Mayweather vs Canelo wasn't even close! Lara and Trout was very close and many think that they won, not a single person that knows anything about boxing thinks that Canelo won against Mayweather.
Sanchez telling it like it is. He's aware that judges in Vegas hang off Canelo's short n curlies. Golovkin is either going to have to stop Canelo or knock him down like 3 times to get this in the bag. Guaranteed that even if they have to shove a stick up his ass to keep him vertical, if Canelo gets to the end and is standing, he's probably going to win whatever actually happened in the fight.
Actually Canelo Mayweather was way closer than Canelo Trout. Canelo Mayweather was 114-114, 116-112, and 117-111. (Majority Decision) Canelo Trout was 115-112, 116-111, and 118-109. (Unanimous Decision) Trout was also knocked down by Canelo turned into Bambi on Ice whereas Canelo Mayweather there were no knockdowns, so I don't see how you can argue Canelo Trout was closer than Canelo Mayweather. Canelo Lara though was a Split Decision and was arguably closer, but one judge did have it 117-111 for Canelo, which was equal to the widest scorecard of Canelo Mayweather.
That kind of extremely suspicious mentality leads to taking of unnecessary risks that might prove detrimental to success.
That's just your fear talking. Fear of losing. It's OK to be scared of losing to Canelo. Whatever you need to tell yourself so you can sleep at night. It speaks volumes that you don't think Triple G has any chance of winning a decision. Canelo's just that damn good I guess that even Triple G's own fans like yourself give him no chance to outbox Canelo and actually win rounds.
You clearly haven't these fights yourself have you? As you are referring to them being close or not close purely based on judges score cards, which is genuinely idiotic. Watch the fights and then you will understand that Canelo may wasn't even close.
Just a complete lack of confidence in their fighter's ability to win rounds and win a decision. It's like they've lost the fight mentally before it even begins. I mean I don't know how a fanbase can be taken serious with so many of its fans making absurd claims like DLH's is gonna pay off the judges or something crazy like that. It's very interesting on a psychological level. It's their way of preparing mentally for the agony of defeat I guess.
Even the mexicans I've talked to said lara beat canelo, a lot of people think trout did too (not me). The 114 - 114 card for mayweather just shows you what they're up against. You're a ****ing fool if you don't think canelo is the favorite, canelo is also the biggest cash cow in boxing. There is literally no way GGG wins a decision here, not even with knock downs.
It's just a fact that Canelo has had some dodgy scores in the past and that those dodgy scores always seem to be in his favour. I have full confidence in the ability of Golovkin to stop Canelo and to put him in the hospital like so many others. It's good to know that Sanchez and GGG are fully aware of the favourable judging Canelo has received in the past. They're going to lay down the fire
