Some perspective for those blowing smoke up Crawford's rear and calling him P4P

There are people in Scotland who are of the belief that Ricky Burns is p4p material, and they would look at you as if you had just been released from an asylum, if you dared questioned and scrutinised his credentials.

You are equating Burns to Crawford if Burns would have beaten Indongo.

You are forgetting everything about their career before their fights with Indongo. But you actually aren't. You are just trolling to get a rise out of people.

I didn't need to respond. Anyone reading this agrees with me already.

Judging quality of opponent by venue and attendance is beyond silly.

Now I only recognize 3 names on Indongo's whole resume other than Crawford (Troya, Burns, Mabuza). So I would agree that his opposition prior to his title fights seem very soft AKA bum-like compared to the world level. But that is no different than any fighter on the world level. At one point, they weren't. It's not as though he lost any of those early fights.

And you would be correct if Burns had done what Crawford did to Indongo and again your argument would be legit, but you're talking from a perspective in fantasy land. Here in the real world, Indongo stopped Burns and Crawford stopped Indongo. Therefore Crawford>Indongo>Burns!

It's called playing Devil's advocate. Trolling would be dismissing Crawford's ability altogether and saying he is a bum, which he is not

I'm not comparing Burns to Crawford ability wise, however both share similar accomplishments which look good on paper, yet in reality is far from what it seems.

The question wouldn't be whether Burns is inferior or superior to Crawford, it would be whether a win over indongo considering his accomplishments in the sport as whole, would place him in the top p4p category

Like I stated earlier, Crawford was considered P4P prior to the Indongo fight. So your question is irrelevant! The better question is, if Indongo had beaten Crawford and then fought Burns and lost in a fantasic manner, would Burns be considered top P4P? My answer would be yes!

I'm aware of that. However him beating Indongo and making it look easy seems to have had cemented his place as p4p? in the eyes of many.

Even though people like myself predicted he would easily walk through Indongo. On what basis you may ask ? The fact that he is a old bum who struck lucky by getting a fight with a washed up Burns.

I don't know when it became popular to put fighters in p4p contention after rummaging through a long line of incapable bums.

Crawford and Burns' resumes are nothing alike beyond having a lot of title fights and having faced each other. You trying to push that across is either trolling or just stupid, take your pick.

He's been on everybody's P4P list for a while now. It didn't come out of nowhere.

The "P4P top 10" has gotten weaker and weaker by the year for going on a decade now.

As for rummaging through a long line of bums and getting called P4P great goes, well, I would point to Golovkin as the kick-starter for that. Many and even most people have (foolishly) listed him in their top 10 since 2012/13.

The calibre of opponents are very similar, the fact you can't see or refuse to see it shows you are the one partaking in ignorance and stupidity

Roman Martinez is certainly a better win than any of the men on Crawford's resume.

For where Martinez was in his career? I think not at all. Postol, Gamboa, Indongo all better for sure.

Maybe you aren't a troll. Which would make me think less of you.
