Mayweather/McGregor Fight Discussion

This. McGregor hit the jackpot. But, he did earn it, since he is a great self promoter, which is a skill most top boxers today lack.

 

I'm actually fan of Floyd. Fan of boxing. Fan of Conor because he chase his dreams for real and exciting fights.

i can be ****ing absolutely wrong. But i will still argue stubbornly that you don't need a specific style to fight.

boxers are not some mythical creatures. That's why i jokingly said that everybody can move their feet and arms.

and in general.boxing culture is one of the most sensitive subjects to talk about it.

in boxing everything is pretty much wrong now. But blind people refuse to take a step ahead.

this sport was 100years ago greatest sport ever. No we have senils everywhere. And these boxing hippies. Who are not even a hippies. i don't know what they are.

They defend boxers and boxing to death. Even if looking just by film,it's obvious to see boxers used to be much moore skilled and used different
tactics.

 

And if Floyd loses it not prove Floyd sucked. Floyd is top30 all-time.

Only it shows that age is undefeated,everybody has a chance to hit the homerun.and you can use different tactica in boxing ring.


i highly respect Floyd abilities. He is ghost in the ring,GOAT defence etc..

I still think that this fight is a joke, but I believe that you don't think it is.

 

Anyone who thinks Floyd is going to leave the ring unscathed is naïve.We'll see who looks uncoordinated after Conor bashes Floyd's cranium with a series of well placed punches.

 

this fight absolutely can be a joke too. However i strongly disagree that it will be.

Conor holds so many advantages,and in my mind so many boxing "experts" are just blind.

i have looked Conor MMA fights. Have watched Floyd fights.

Of course everything is different in boxing,but Conor has seriously good IQ and understanding how to fight.how to place your punches,movement,mental game,everything

Floyd is again.very old. And in Conor words old weak *****,with brittle hands. Floyd gives up so many handicappes in this match.

height,weight,reach,speed,agility,endurance,power,strength..

Floyd only advantage is understanding of boxing. The gap is enormous. But here is again big problem. Conor does not understand boxing like Floyd,or Floyd opponents before. Conor goes there to throw leather and fight. Not to have a boxing match.

 

Floyd looks as ripped as an assassin.

And that's what he will be when Conor comes to fight and finds his aggression turned against him.

His only hope is to turn it into a brawl and to his credit he's tried his level best to rile Floyd up and get him mad enough to stand and trade. If he manages to turn Floyd stupid, then his chances of beating him go up dramatically. Maybe even as high as 40%.

But what I think will happen is that Floyd will do his usual running.

He will get a feel in the first two rounds for how Conor fights and then he will do to Conor what GGG did to Stevens when he riled him up. He's going to pick him apart, set traps and systematically work him over until late fight where he KO's him. Conor's going to look like he ran into a tipper truck.

It could even be that late fight, when McGregor's got nothing left and he's just standing around eating punches, that Floyd turns the tables on him and showboats to provoke him into doing something stupid like kicking him. So then he can take his match fee as well.

I'm not going to watch this.

 

I hope Floyd whips this guy's ass. It's really hard to like McGregor.

 

I watch if i can do it free. Luckily i'm from europe so usually see fighting on
sports channels. This one i'm not sure.

But as you said earlier. it would be absolutely hilarious here and everywhere if Conor wins. Also it would be a very sad day for boxing.
Then boxing would be dead to casuals. No doubt about it. Nobody would care 2cents about boxing anymore. Even boxing hardcore's have been ridiculing Conor all the way. Their answer would be GOLDEN.

even if Conor makes this competitive.lot of boxing purist have to eat their words.

But as i said earlier. You could be absolutely correct. I know Floyd is amazing and more. Ghost in the ring. But this Conor dude is something special too. And his level of confidence.

i would never pay 100$ to see a fight event on tv.

I'm mega interested about this match. But i somewhat boycott these millionaires. I want spend my money to better things.

Both proud in beating on smaller men, I agree. There is a recent interview of him literally boasting and taking pride in coming into the ring 20lbs heavier than his opponent.

 

Why it's hard to like? Dude was 5yrs ago taking unemployment checks. Now fighting for what.100millions or something? I mean the dude speaks lot of ****. But he tends to back it up. Showing that you can be succesfull by yourself. Like Floyd says hard work and dedication. That's true when you dedicate to that. Usually success comes at somepoint.

Conor is easy to be liked. Also every fight is action packed. Entertaining media if you are up to that.

i like Floyd too. Amazing career,made money like no one. Definetly TBE in PRIZEFIGHTING. Nowadays everything is treated like business. So Floyd is TBE in BOXING.

(of course if you think boxing is more than prizefighting and business. Then Floyd is nowhere near TBE status)


But yes.for me,it's easy to like both Conor and Floyd.
