Plus Canelo is a better counter puncher. G doesn't counter all that much. G is damn near unbeatable when he is first and allowed to move where he wants. Jacobs and Brook shown a little light in the dark shadows of G's abilities. Can this translate into a win for Canelo..... I honestly can't say, but will definitely be tuning in to find out!

    Daniel Geale would disagree.

Jacobs would knock El Pollo out. Golovkin will knock El Pollo out, but watch out for Tony Weeks, Bob Bennett, the judges, Bob's boxing commission will be owned by Oscar. Golovkin will have to beat the hell out of both. Golovkin by knockout with Bob Bennett's objections...............

LOL, you think that was a counter shot. They threw at the same time and G's shot carried more pop. Normally when you counter, the trick is to make your opponent miss and then hit your opponent before he gets back into defensive posture!

I don't believe he'll need to fight off the ropes so often.

Not simultaneous. GGG did not throw until Geale's punch had landed. There's no question it was a counter.

Yeah, because all decent counter punchers get hit while countering! This further proves my statement.... Canelo is a better counter puncher! Look at the video again, G started a little bit after Geale. Can't say if G's punch was an intended counter or he got caught opening up.

lol you're not allowed to say that, esp on this Stylistic Canelo thread.
GGG is a stylistic nightmare for anyone on account of his KO record,I only have Ward giving him problems right now,Jacobs fought well and looked the flashier of the two but take another look and so many Jacobs power shots hit gloves, arms ect

He can't afford to since GGG would most likely force a stoppage right there,Canelo is gonna have to try something he's never done before but plans are ok until one gets hit and I've noticed that when Canelo does get hit, buzzed, whatever he retreats to the ropes like it's second nature
