when did you see a fight where rigo stood still long enough to be worked over. lol you guys are funny making statements and completely ignoring the other guys fighting style. on another thread some one said spence will walk crawford down and beat him like a hoe that stole the pimps money. crawford is not standing still for that.
Yeah that was my first thought. But I kinda feel with Rigo he's a bit like Uchiyama and Yamanaka in that he's bound to lose sooner rather than later. I know he's a level above those guys, but he's only had one meaningful fight in 3 years, and yes he looked good in that but what if his cardio isn't the same, I don't know. I just think the smaller, older man on worse form isn't in a good situation.
We'll see. There are also examples like Floyd-Canelo, Bhop-Pavlik/Pascual/Tarver, Toney-Jirov, etc. The skilled guys pull it off sometimes and Rigo has the skill.
It could very well pay to bet again rigo every time he fights. Eventually he could be upset by a massive dog like Shiming was recently
That's my thoughts exactly. As long as he's this p4p rated superstar the odds against him will be good and he's gonna slip up eventually.
They obviously pull it off, but at some point age tells. Hopkins against Smith for example. Toney against Gavern. Floyd obviously finished unbeaten but hardly anyone at the top level does. Most elite guys get upset at some point. Gonzalez Vs Wangek, Pacquiao Vs Horn. Two very recent examples. Crawford and Ward will probably lose at some point as well. Happens to them all (nearly)
slight edge to loma. but im on the rigo bandwagon. odds should prolly favor loma . rigo is moving up in weight getting older. can rigo lower lomas punch out put?? lets hope we see.
Rigondeaux's three main advantages are his southpaw stance, his impeccable timing, and his masterful control of distance and range, in order for a fighter to beat him, they need to have excellent footwork preferably to be able to pivot from one side of Rigo to the other with the greatest of ease, that would get him into range and in a position to land consistent shots on Rigo, footwork that will disrupt Rigo's movement and rhythm and throw him off of his trajectory and out of position, causing him to have to reset his feet and possibly move in the other direction altogether, which he's not accustomed to. An arrhythmic awkward hard to time rhythm, excellent parrying skills for to slip or block the incoming counter, use weird and incessant feints to keep Rigo blinded and guessing, and use odd angles to deliver punches on parts of Rigo's head and body that he's not adequately prepared to defend, therefore he won't see them coming, and those are the shots that KO or drop guys. It would also help if that fighter was a fellow southpaw. Hmmmm, who does that sound like???? Rigo will be one sad turtle come December 10th. This content is protected
Yea just like he "walked " thur Papa Salido who's been down more times than Rigo and who is less skilled right?
Lomachenko will knock Rigo out, but Lomachenko has been trying to get Salido back into the ring without Lawrence Cole to help him...................Lomachenko beat Salido......................
