There's been no real buzz around about this fight.

No confirmation that a network has picked it up.

It's clearly not a PPV fight so puzzling why the delay in announcing the broadcaster.

Hughie Fury & his team have a history of pulling out of fights at the last minute.

Ticket sales have been appalling I've heard Crolla v Burns has sold 5x more than Parker v Fury.

Tyson Fury strangely has done zero promotion for his own cousins fight.

I really can't see this fight happening on September 23rd I hope Parkers team have been savvy enough to get a guaranteed amount off the Furys/Hennessy if the fight is cancelled.

I was hoping it would and a group of us was going to go. We were waiting until closer to buy tickets but can't see it happening. Were going to Burns Crolla a few weeks later instead. Thats the problem with Hennessy and the Furys you can't rely on a fight happening specially when there is no promotion, poor ticket sales and no TV deal.

Honestly if I was forced to bet my life savings on either the fight happening or not happening, I'd bet on the fight not happening.

Life savings? Me and my mates wouldn't even bet the booking fee which is why were going to Crolla as at least it's guaranteed to happen.

A few of us posted that it would not take place the day it was announced.

The very poor ticket sales on day 1 confirmed it for me.

I think it goes ahead as Team Fury have spent a fortune on sparring partners and a lot has been spend on advertising. I don't think they have anything to gain by going through with this if they intend on pulling out. Of course any fighter could get injured but I fully believe both camps expect the fight to go ahead.

If Fury pulls out I want to see Fat Mick Hennessy v Dustin Nicholls as a replacement fight. Hennessy has to be good for something surely.

I agree with this. No way will Fury pull out of this fight. He's clearly been hammering the training and Peter Fury has put a lot of preparation into it. They will take the financial hit on it because the rewards for the winner will be a big PPV in their next fight.

Excellent post and very true about future revenue. Peter Fury recently said when asked about possibility show might not be viable said they will not come into play as we have access to untold millions.

Really hope it goes ahead, looking forward to seeing Hughie in with a top heavyweight. I think he'll make a good fight of it for sure. He's got very good potential for his age.

Tell ya what though, the promotion etc is farcical. Hennessy needs a new bloody career because he's a hopeless promoter. No broadcaster, poor ticket sales, what on earth is going on? What is Peter thinking allowing Hennesy to run the show? It's baffling. I know they don't like Hearn, but surely Warren wanted in on this and would have made a success of it?

How are they paying Parker to come over all the way from New Zealand? He's the champion after all. How did they get the fight in Manchester with no broadcaster? It's all mind boggling. I hope the fight goes ahead and I hope Hughie wins. But I don't see how the sums add up here.

Hearn made a dig comment in one of his recent IFL interviews that the ticket sales for Parker/Fury were dreadful.

I've got a feeling that Hearn has already got Parker signed to a deal to fight Bellew should he win or the fight not take place at all.

Quite possibly but one issue will be the fact Parker won't be world champion after he fights Hughie Fury. I watched Parker in his last fight and I can honestly see Hughie Fury winning easy, his movement speed Ring IQ, the extra strength he will now have from being healthy will be far too much for Parker.

If the Fury's had any savvy about them they would have left Mick Hennessy a long time a go, the guy can't promote a boxing event to save his life. He's clearly over paid on the purses of Fury & Parker & can't now find the right TV deal to recuperate those funds. Even Frank Warren who would kick his own mother down the stairs to get on side with the Fury's can't find the cash to justify showing this one on Boxnation/BT.
