Mayweather/McGregor Fight Discussion

Paulie said yesterday that he thinks McGregor wont quit, but that he'll hit Mayweather with low blows or other continuous fouls to get himself disqualified so that he can say "I didn't quit, the ref unfairly DQ'd me, I would have won, it's a conspiracy!"

Hmmm, could be on to something...

Then we might indeed get the same scenario that happened in the Judah fight. The problem with Conn is that he made the mistake of telegraphing his intentions by saying that he might indeed resort to fouls if he feels disrespected. That automatically puts the Mayeather team on the alert. Mayweather senior threatened to sue if Connors began using MMA tactics and conn responded that he didn't care. That's when Mayweather senior threatened him with a violent response if he dared.


BTW
One has to recall what happened during Galota fight when the whole stadium erupted in violence. This is made even more probable if Connors resorts to MMA or fouling tactics because Connors has resorted to what are perceived as racist statements.

 

Don't get your hopes up. Conor has more honour than all of Floyd's fans combined.

I'll watch it for the undercard and cos basically it's something we've never really seen before. People are just overreacting about it. It's just a bit of fun at the end of the day but it's entertainment and you have to pay for it.

 

Don't worry OP connor's not going to win anyway.

 

If Mayweather tears his ankle ligaments in the first round then ... McGregor might even win a round.

 

Then Floyd seems to be contradicting himself since he did mention that the proceeds from the fight will guarantee his kids a better future. That seems to indicate that his present funds don't suffice for that purpose-something that is extremely hard to believe..

I don't think this is an act by Paulie. He is genuinely angry, there are little expressions he is making with his mouth that are really hard to fake for even the best actors in hollywood, and he is doing that thing what people do when they get angry, where they are talking so quickly they can hardly get the words out of their mouth quick enough.

I think McGregor has played him like a fiddle though, I bet he can't believe how well this publicity stunt has worked out.

I feel bad for Paulie.
