Most of those punches didn't land or were on the shoulders or arms. He didn't hit PBF with combos in the traditional sense. Pea Whitaker isn't a natural pressure fighter and he wouldn't pressure PBF because he would pay a price trying to get in by eating clean counters or being beaten to the punch on the outside. Have you not forgot that PBF is the better counter puncher here? And he's the faster guy with faster reflexes. I love Pea Whitaker but he was very often off balance or very out of position. I could very easily see an accurate puncher like PBF who historically is the most accurate puncher in boxing history catching Pea while he was out of position and dropping him.
Oh lord all this coming from a guy who thinks PBF can never beat anyone and loses to everyone. What do you know anyway you picked Pac to beat PBF. PBF would give Tito work there's level to this and he's not on PBF's level. Take away his power hand and circle his ass all night long and he's done. Tito gets a boxing lesson and wins 2 rounds at best against PBF. Yeah Mosley put him on ***** st so what? Newsflash, this is boxing you get hit. But after that how many rounds did Mosley win? How many other times did you see PBF get hit by that punch again? He adjusted and took it away, that's why he's a master. PBF doesn't get hit by the same punch over and over during the course of a fight like your hero Pac did.
If he lands solild one like Shane Mosely did of course he could possibly knock out Mayweather. No one is invulnerable.
I was talking about a 26 year old Tito here. Big difference in quality compared to old Pac and old Mosley. Mayweather never fought anybody as good as prime Tito. Newsflash, Tito doesn't have a power hand. He blows **** up with either hand. Mayweather sleeps against Tito. He's never seen that level.
If Tito lands that same shot on Mayweather he WILL go down. He may get up, he may not and that would put Floyd in serious jeaporady of finishing the round. A true banger is rare, they're hard to find. You can't teach it and when they land flush **** gets real. And Tito could bang with either hand.
Tito is a guy who was on the receiving end of many boxing lessons in his career. Tito has never seen anyone on PBF's level. Lastly why couldn't your God Pac keep from getting hit with the same punch over the course of 4 fights with JMM? LMFAO! PBF UD #48 PBF>#48 deal with it.
Well, he has 45 wins and 32 by knockouts so he definitely has power. Which makes Mayorga's offering his face as a target even more ridiculous. He never fully recovered from that point on.
I honestly don't think either Floyd or Pernell can drop each other as they weren't huge punchers, and at the same time both were very skilled defensively and had pretty good chins. Most likely it would've been a chess-match, both trying to figure out his opponent, with many close and unspectacular rounds.
Dude Tito has seen a prime DLH and prime Hopkins or at least Hopkins was close to his best. Don't come for his opposition. Tito is one of boxings ultimate badasses. Legendary tough guy. Point is Whitaker fought guys like Chavez, DLH and Tito when they weren't shells of their former selves. Your obsession with comparing a 36 year old Pac and 38 year old Mosley to a prime Tito is not a good comparison. I don't think those guys can compare to the young monster version of Tito. Back in the day he could bangm
You sound like someone who's never seen Whitaker fight. Whitaker had no problems letting his hands fly while staying in his defensive pocket.
I can see Floyd dropping Sweet Pea, but I also see Whitaker returning the favor. Sweet Pea had much better footwork and reflexes than Mayweather and relied on it more. If it seemed he was off balance it was Whitaker's style, he was much more unorthodox than Floyd. When a prime Sweet Pea was hurt or in trouble he was at his most dangerous, and he could pressure and fight going forward like a boss, he wasn't one dimensional, Hurtado and Uncle Rog found that out. Floyd never did that great against opponents that showed a glimpse of defense, just watch the Maidana fights. Robert Garcia trained Maidana showed defense he never used before in his career and he was making Floyd miss like never before. A past his prime Sweet Pea had a good case of a draw or edging a prime DLH, even dropped him, while a past his prime Oscar gave Floyd problems. I think Sweet Pea did better against DLH than Floyd did and it was a far better version than the one Floyd fought.
