Mayweather SNR did say Floyd's inactivity for 2 years has taken A LOT out of him and he is not the same anymore but still has enough to win this fight. The dad is not a PR guy and just says how he sees it. This fight would also mean a lot for Floyd's Stamina and reflexes - All I have seen him do is hit the bag and the fat guy wearing a body guard. No more skipping and his uncle is a no show. First time he is every fighting without training with his uncle.

    Dont expect walk over!!

You know, there's always a chance McGregor might suffer too much damage and die, or end up in a coma. What would happen to NSAC then for approving a non-boxer fight a multiple times world champion?

Someone may end up in jail for approving such a mismatch.

    Thoughts?

I actually think Floyd Sr could beat Conor in a boxing match.

 Give me a ****ing break Leoh, have you ever seen McGregor fight, go watch the Diaz matches, not a chance Floyd could come close to dishing out that much sustained punishment, McGregor has a great chin and good powers of recovery and is the naturally bigger man, the best Floyd might do is drop him a few times, and I doubt that even.

Yeah I saw all that too. Apparently this fight is about him ''daring to be great'' and taking big risks - against a MMA fighter who is 0-0-0 in the sport of boxing lol

If he fought Golovkin at 160, now, THAT would be daring to be great. Even though Floyd calls it easy work

lol yes according to Floyd (and many of his fans) GGG has always been ''easy work'' for him. Straight up 'n down, no special effects.

McGregor having a great chin is the exact reason why he might sustain the kind of damage that'd put him a coma after the fight. Recently happened with Eduard Gutknecht against George Groves, or Nick Blackwell against Eubank Jr. If Mayweather fights a serious fight, McGregor ending up in hospital is a serious possibility.

In any case, what would happen to NSAC then, that's the question.

Nothing, you must not know how government works, when Government employees commit crimes they don't go to prison.

There's zero chance McGregor ends up in the hospital, the man is a professional athlete that competes in combat sports for a living, McGregor is primarily a counter puncher himself, so Floyd runs the risk of eating something big too if he decides to go all out and try to tee off on McGregor, and he's not going to sustain a lot of damage eating Floyd's jabs all night and straight rights all night.

Nothing will happen to the NSAC if that does occur.

That's just what I was about to post. The best kept secret and what the UFC fans who are pulling for him as this great mma striker don't get is... McGregor can't punch! He lunges and reaches with punches from too far on the outside, doesn't turn his punches over, doesn't punch through the target, doesn't use his body to get leverage behind his punches: he's a slapper.

In mma he stays away as a stand up fighter to avoid kicks or takedowns, and he's able to time opponents who also aren't fully defending themselves from punches. But McGregor landing from distance as his opponents come in only works in mma, that won't work for a second in boxing.

And with mma striking limited to outside punching McGregor hasn't developed the ability to throw the short, inside punches that boxers have perfected. Isn't that obvious just from his carefully selected best seconds of the Malignaggi sparring? He was flailing arm punches like chicken wings! And I couldn't find a hint of evidence from mma highlights that he can punch in close, shift, throw short punches up and down, carefully place and set up punches, like Castillo, Hatton, even Maidana. If his intent is to make it an inside brawl McGregor will only grab, push, and flail with wide punches with no snap or accuracy. That's where he's a fish out of water as a puncher.

While Floyd inside will be able to rip McGregor with short hooks and body shots, and easily step to the side to extend with right hand power. When Floyd after a round or two finds that McGregor can't land a solid punch inside much less hurt him he'll be confident enough to walk McGregor down and go on an efficient attack.

On the outside McGregor will be easy for Floyd to stay away from, but that's still McGregor's best chance to punch with any effect. Which isn't to say he'll have much of a chance to hurt Floyd at all, as he doesn't have the punching technique of an elite boxer even from the outside. Floyd should quickly find an inside fight is where McGregor isn't just defensively clueless and helpless... but where Floyd can separate himself as the blatantly better and harder puncher.

That's only really the case if the fight gets gets made and Floyd forces GGG to weigh in at 150 or 152.

The NSAC would sanction Mayweather- PeeWee Herman if Floyd wanted it

lol true. Funny thing is I've always thought that GGG looks fast and extremely powerful when he weighs 161-163 ish in those final workout vids a few days before the fights. If he could make 154 and had to come in on fight night between 160-165 he'd be even more devastatingly powerful at that weight.

Can't be bothered to do a proper search but I think this might be one of those vids.
