If i were forced to put my life at stake and told to pick a winner, I would pick Floyd without much deliberation. It's a much less imaginative outcome.
Camacho's style is difficult for Floyd. But at the end of the day, Floyd is much more skilled and would win a competitive decision.
You're misunderstanding. Nobody is saying Judah was as good as Camacho. Clearly, Hector was the superior of the two. However, this would be similar in that Macho's handspeed gives him the edge over Floyd in the first half, but ultimately, Floyd's superior skill and IQ would take over down the stretch. Also consider, that Floyd was a lot quicker and sharper at 135 than he was at 147, the weight he fought Judah at.
Who in god's name picked Mayweather by stoppage? A fighter who went 10 full years without scoring even a knockdown (Floyd) vs a guy who was never stopped in his entire career despite fighting many heavy punchers and fighting until he was 48 years old (Camacho)
You're misunderstanding, and it would look nothing like that fight. Zab basically only uses his speed of hand (which is still slower than a prime Camacho), and doesn't use his feet nearly as much as Camacho did. So Floyd having to adjust to only fast hands with vastly less movement isn't analogous to doing that against somebody not only faster of hand but uses his feet way way more. Needless to say, one is a much easier adjustment than the other. Further, Hector as that weight, is vastly superior to Judah mentally, and basically in every way. Further, the other way they are different is that Camacho was more active than Zab and threw more punches, which means, it will be easier for him to get a points victory than Zab, and further, it will be harder for Floyd to adjust when a guy is throwing more punches, from more angles, while moving more. This is the exact reason the comparison doesn't work, and frankly, isn't really that close to working.
Watch a little more prime Camacho if you think he couldn't pull off this win. He's much busier than May would be, and much faster a foot.
Mayweather would slow down his output, just like he did to everyone. He really wasn't on the same level and it would show. You aren' gonna beat Mayweather by running in circles and trying to shoe shine.
Camacho isn't like anybody he ever fought before, nor would he be easily deterred. He wouldn't be. May doesn't have the power to deter a prime Camacho. Not happening.
