McGregor is a bully and a piece of crap. Mayweather is going to destroy this guy. Just like Mayweather said, "can you take it?"

He hasn't been active and he's 40 years old. It's not like McGregor beating a prime Canelo Alvarez who's been active and hasn't been retired for two years.

Of course it won't look good for boxing and i don't like how Mayweather even took this fight. I just rather be objective and not let emotions get in the way.

I just don't see Mayweather winning by KO. He will do his usual defensive routine and flick jabs.

I think the ''routes to the body'' will be the deciding factor for Mayweather.

I mean what if something shocking happens and Mayweather gets knocked down and wins a decision? He gets his 50-0 and rides into the sunset whilst McGregor would still look great in a loss.

McGregor reminds me of a 2008 Pacquiao. Let's see this.

Tell your friend that he's not just fighting for himself... he's fighting for boxing.

If he really wants to be remembered as "The Best Ever" he needs to KO / TYKO or beat McCracker up.

It's more the necessary tradeoff that allowed the fight to happen. McGregor wouldn't have agreed to take on Floyd a few months after Pac. Two years inactivity is nowhere near the handicap no experience in a single boxing match is.

An amateur novice who's sparred a few times based on stamina alone can give a pro a good go if the pro is not on his game and/or is out of shape etc.

If Mayweather's reflexes, timing etc are not what they were and he's declined dramatically which is not likely then he may have a bad night. McGregor's a tough guy and can take a lot of punishment. I don't how vulnerable he is to the body as body shots from punches aren't as common in MMA as in boxing.

I don't think Conor can emulate Maidana with work rate but he may make it an ''ugly'' fight throwing looping telegraphed shots and coming in with his head whilst eating a jab.

I think Floyd may be thrown off by Conor's raw amateur boxing and muay thai footwork/movement and expect certain punches to come a certain way through setting up with a snapping jab to open up the body, etc and Conor not boxing conventionally. I think Floyd will just look for the counter left hook/cross and just jab Conor's head off and move and repeat.

I don't think you can even underestimate a fighter like McGregor even though he's got very little boxing experience. He's been sparring and learning and he's used to being under the bright lights. I lean toward a tko win for Mayweather or decision.

Here are some interesting things to consider:

    - McGregor has taken punches from 4 ounce MMA gloves. 8 ounces won't hurt as much for him. If Conor can't knock Mayweather out, there's a good chance the fight will go 12 rounds.

    - Nate Daiz sparred with Ward for the Chad Dawson fight. Ward has said that Nate gave him good work and was hard to spar because he kept coming and threw a lot of punches.

    - McGregor and Malignaggi went 12 rounds of intense sparring with 16 oz gloves. Malignaggi said McGregor came on strong at the end. According to Malignaggi, he won about 4 rounds. According to Dana white, Malignaggi lost all 12 rounds. Stamina won't be a problem.

    - McGregor has good movement and distance control. Boxing is fought at a closer range than MMA most of the time, so Conor is used to closing the distance and get in punching position. Conor moves better than 90% of the fighters in boxing and movement is one of the keys to success as a defensive and offensive fighter, regardless of discipline.

    - McGregor is a tall, rangy southpaw with a powerful left hand and punches from weird angles. He is supremely confident going into fight with nothing to lose. His punches are compact and straight, the hallmark of good punching technique. Floyd has NEVER fought a southpaw this big or this rangy, first boxing match or not.

There are lots of plausible rumours that this fight is genuinely fixed. This of course means Floyd is going to win, because Floyd wouldn't agree to anything else, but it also means going for an over/under is risky IMO, its also risky since Floyd hasn't legitimately stopped anyone for ten years.
