It's obvious that he's hoping Joshua gets stripped, he gets to win a vacant belt and then rather than a mando/champ split get something like Charlez Martin gotto get blasted out.

Seriously though Kubrat, the most overrated contender of the last ten years needs to step up or step the **** off and let the to guys fight.

Mandatory opponents that refuse to take fights should be stripped of Mandatory status and the next guy in line offered the fight. Why on earth would a Mandatory not want to fight for a belt?

He's trying to get Joshua stripped so he can fight Takam for the vacant belt, like how Glazkov/Duva pushed to have the IBF stripped so they could fight Martin for it.

Pulev doesn't want the Joshua fight, he turned it down 3 times last year and now turned it down again as mandatory. He should be removed entirely from the IBF rankings.

I think there should be a rule in place to strip mandatories if they constantly delay, & screw around with the champion, in general.

Totally agree. Sad that this is what the sport has come to.

what a joke some of these fighters are! they rather earn a belt through a technicality than actually earning it in the ring. like where's the integrity & respect in that?
stunts like that make me lose respect for fighters like Pulev cuz if he were to get that belt through those means, I would not view him as a champion or a man of honor.

to me, that's not the mindset of an actual champion.

Oh well im guessing we are guna get nothing out of Wilders social media but tumbleweed for a while. That announcment will have to wait until Joshua is signing on somebody elses dotted line before Wilder starts calling him out again.

I expect AJ to capitulate and fight Pulev anyways at a later date. Eddie Hearn only wants AJ to fight 2 times a year, what's a 2 month delay to that. I think Pulev understands how much they want to fight him so he's going to drag him. That's just leverage. Welcome to boxing.

and just for that, Joshua should knock out Pulev dead cold for pulling this stunt.

Ah yes, we all saw an elderly Wlad clearly not having one of the best performances of his career, losing because as everyone knows he is totally glass jawed. OK, what ever makes you happy.

Think you have made clear how accurate and therefore valid your boxing opinion is.. lol.

"But but but.. he is a fraud, he is glass jawed, he will never face Ortiz..".

Pretty sure you will be proved wrong on that one.

Wilder called out Joshua and said "Let's unify" when Wlad said he was retiring.

He wanted that fight in October.

There was no signed contract with Pulev. There still is no signed contract with Pulev ... Pulev does not want to fight AJ in October.

So where is this dotted line that caused Team AJ to say no thanks to fighting Wilder in October when the Wlad rematch was dropped?

Not sure what you are talking about, if Joshua decided to fight Wilder he would be stripped of the IBF belt and maybe even the WBA as well.

Hearn made an exception deal with Sauerland/Pulev to be able to fight Wlad in a rematch first, now that fight is off the Pulev fight has to happen next or AJ will be stripped of the belt. Pulev not wanting it throws a whole new spanner into the works.

    Not true. Unification trumps mandatory.

Pulev didn't want an October fight anyway. Give him some step aside $$$ to wait (and he wants to wait anyway) and they could have made AJ vs. Wilder.
