I always said that Davis is the next Broner, but I had no idea that he would be that similar to him, Davis even misses weights just like Broner did as usual.
Such a shame! He's a good talent, was being touted as the future by media and he was the youngest champion.. But on the biggest stage of his life (biggest stage in combat history) he's goes and does that! So unprofessional. He will never get a stage like this to shine on ever again.. He missed weight twice in his last fight too.. This sport required dedication, hard work and a lot of graft, doesn't matter how good he is.. There are rules and if he breaks them it's a bad look. This is going to affect him going forward.. It's gonna mess up his psych.
Good. He has stated several times he has no intention of fighting the champion of the division (Loma), so this gives Loma a potential opportunity to fight for another belt.
Yea, its really disrespectful to the guys who are actually working to make weight. Either train harder or move up.
YESS!! Brilliant news! Lomachenko is more likely to be able to step in there and take that IBF belt. The WBA/WBC beltholders would be even more interested in unifying for all 4 belts, then Loma can be finished with 130 and move up. ..FATvonta!
Doesn't surprise me one bit, he's a slacker looking to get by on his talent and athleticism alone, just like Broner. The quicker this cancrusher gets figured out by all fans the better.
From what I understand, the Fonseca camp is now holding out and negotiating for more money, and as of right now there is no fight here
Is he really cutting that much weight to begin with? I don't exactly remember him looking like he didn't belong in his weight division...
He comes across as so lazy to me, I wouldn't be surprised if he told his trainers he didn't feel like doing a weight cut. Then something about being the A-Side and the draw, or some such bull****.
