If he performs as he did against Trout he is going to get himself in some trouble. If he performs as he did against Cotto and Kirkland he has a chance.
Golovkin has dropped off just enough. He gets hit too easily as it is. I think Alvarez will win by decision also. But it's a great match up
Ggg isn't the best boxer canelo has faced the same can't be said for ggg. Ggg isn't the biggest fight canelo had been in the same can't be said for ggg. Gggs lack of experience at the elite level and his lack of big fight experience will come back to haunt him and I've said this for months.
@Pimp C @CST80 and others on this thread, I have a request . Give it a percentage. What chance Canelo wins, what chance GGG wins. I know a lot are very confident in their man, which is fine, but after all it's boxing and anything can happen. So, if you please, try to be objective and get a well thought-out percentage.
If GGG clearly dominates the fight and the consensus is that GGG won, you're going to call a robbery or justify Canelo winning.
90/10 in favor of GGG. The only way I see Canelo winning is if there's a freak accident or injury to GGG, or some weird SQ which is always a possibility, but I don't see any way for Canelo to beat him legitimately.
70/30 here. I watched a Van Heerden interview recently, and it kinda of swayed me into thinking Canelo has a better shot than I thought. Still favor GGG and going to stick with my pick. I wanted Canelo to win but then I saw Isal on this thread and now I'm hoping GGG ****ing destroys him lol.
If you think he's bad on this thread go check out a few of El Chicano's recent GGG-Canelo threads, Isal went full blown re**** on them. Now watch this post will trigger him too..
Canelo will win by UD. It's clear as water that any close rounds will be given to Canelo. Only way GGG can win is if he KOTFO Canelo which being honest, is not going to happen. Canelo has some good whiskers.
Your talking about a boxer little floyd played with. There IS levels to this GGG Undisputed middleweight king and highest ko ratio in history. Canelo has done nothing to prove that he will beat GGG.
GGG is a great jabber which he used to great effect with Lemieux and also against Jacobs so we can expect he will use it often starting out against Canelo , for how long though remains to be seen ... it wouldn't be a surprise to see it turn into a firefight early , both fighters won't be running away that is for sure . Body punches are as likely to end this fight as head punches . It will be interesting who goes to the body most effectively . I expect GGG to win by a later-rounds TKO but Canelo is a sharp combination puncher ... any boxer can be caught clean with a punch they never saw .
