I'm thinking about betting $100 on this fight, but I'm not sure how long it lasts?
    If I put $100 online on under 6.5 rds, I'll win $215. If over 6.5 rds - I'll win $170.

    Which is more probable outcome?

Like it or not but Floyd is boxing sole representative today. What happenes tonight will effect how boxing is seen by millions.

He simply has to put on a show.

I would take the under at that price. I actually think it is more likely regardless of the better odds. Bookies are wide open here but the crazy amount of money matched on Conor has left them with little choice but to give great value on all the pro-Mayweather bets because they have insane liability on the other side. Get some everybody!

Get Floyd by KO instead at 8/11, it's more likely than under 6.5.

    That's true!
Overestimation of one's abilities is the recipe for disaster. Lifters wrenching their backs and double herniating themselves. Sky divers slamming into bridges. Boxers such as Con thinking they can knock out an opponent and getting knocked out instead. Boxers insisting on continuing to get unnecessarily savaged because they feel they can turn the fight around. Long distance runners thinking they can maintain an unreasonable pace and feinting aty 3/4 the distance.

Historically in warfare the same principle applies. The invasion of Parthia was based on Crasus' idea that the Romans could easily defeat the Parthians as they had recently easily defeated Sparacus under his command.

On pari match there are following bets.

Floyd by TKO - $300 from $100 bet
Floyd by KO - $360 from $100 bet

I think TKO is more likely

Hes 10 times worse, Floyd going to brake him down, and prepare him for the knock out. I think he will even avoid the tko and literally prepare him for a big knock out. You can tell when a guy is ready to go floyd will toy with him and wait for him to reach that point and put his lights out.

Yes, agreed, TKO far more likely than KO. What I meant in my previous post was Floyd by KO/TKO.

I just can't see how McGregor could win. All he's going to try to do is land the straight left, which Mayweather will find very predictable and will be able to counter whenever he wants. He's not a big enough hitter anyway so he isn't going to be able to stop Mayweather who is still incredibly difficult to hit even when hurt. McGregor also appears to leave himself far too open at times, as you would expect from an MMA fighter with no professional boxing fights on his record, Mayweather will land with frightening accuracy. His best chance to win would be to bring relentless pressure for the 12 rounds and win that way but I don't think he has anywhere near the stamina to pull it off. Therefore, I cannot see how he could win. I'm sure he'll like the payday though.

I'm guessing despite Mayweather's lack of stoppages in the last few years of his career, that he will stop a gassed McGregor in the 9th round.

This fight is a joke. an 0-0 boxer vs the best pound for pound boxer who's a defensive specialists?

TKO for Mayweather. By the mid rounds he'll have an easy target.

    Best guess, Mayweather in 8.
