Kovalev: I'm thinking about retirement

If he feels that way, then he needs to seriously think about his boxing career before getting back
in the ring. He's not the A side anymore; his stamina is non-existent; his Krusher mystique is gone;
he's failed at the top level twice now.

He'd better get his head back on before fighting The Pimp or Beterbiev because either guy could knock it off his shoulders.

 

He has not made enough money to retire comfortably. He needs better management and promotion behind him. Move to the UK and try and sign with Hearn.

 

Some were calling BS before the rematch but the signs were there. Now Kovalev is done unless there are some major changes.
Maidana is a rare example of someone coming back.

 

I was really disappointed with his performance with ward I also was not impressed with his win over a 51 year old hopkins

Anyway kovalev has not got as many dimension to his game like GGG I have always said GGG had more skills and more to his game then just knocking someone out

 

Ward destroyed him mentally and physically. With that said he shouldn't retire.

 

That's sad. He sounds mentally broken. Been badly managed & screwed in first Ward fight. Trainer issues... Jackson's a snake! So be it.. Potential to be an ATG. Don't know why he wouldn't want to settle the Stevenson beef but its his choice. Respect champ. Gvodzyk, Bivol, Beterbiev etc will keep us entertained in your absence in sure. Quite an anticlimactic ending to what was looking a beast of a career!

he is not elite. Ward proved that, which is why Kovalev wants to retire. He knows he talked a good talk and didn't come through. Why doesn't he fight Stevenson and prove how good he is..

 

He beat Chilemba fair and square. Chilemba was just tricky.

 

Why do you want to see Stevenson beat Kovalev? How is it possible to be a fan of Stevenson who DUCKED Kovalev all these years?

 

Stevenson is ducking him. Losing to Ward doesn't mean you're not elite. Kovalev was elite.

 

It was not stevenson the one who retired from the pursebid, isnt it?. You better wonder who was ducking who.

I dont care anyway, I want to watch that fight, and at this point in their careers there's no reason for ducking anymore.
