Can you imagine if Conor went against someone his own size like GGG?
Floyd is 40 years old and much smaller. Conor is 27 and bigger. Conor is not a boxer but can you imagine if Conor fought a boxer at his size who is closer to his prime like GGG, Jacobs, Charlo brothers, Spence ... Would he last 3 rounds? Floyd purposely gave him the early rounds so he could walk him down later. It's clear he followed that script. Floyd doesn't go forward like he fought tonight.

Er. only under boxing rules. That's all this fight proved and the MMA fighter did astonishingly well considering it was literally his first pro fight and the boxer is one of the greatest of all time. You think Floyd would last a fraction of that time under MMA rules?

I hope you are kidding. That was a 50% Floyd at the most. He didn't use half of his tools. Not moving away, not shoulder roll, barely throwing for the first 4 rounds, etc....... Floyd works harder in the gym than during that fight. I ****ing hate him but its a fact.

I believe Mayweather DID try, but he felt he had to actually fight Conor and not run and hug often, or fight him in his own typical style.
Still, to lost a ton of rounds like that is unforgiveable.

McGregor took like the first three or four rounds, but started slowing down and gassing noticeably by about the fourth. Floyd is lucky McGregor didn't have a 12 rounds boxing gas tank. Because if he did, Floyd would have took the L tonight. McGregor's reach, awkward style, and counter punching was giving Floyd problems early on. When is the last time we've seen someone counter Floyd's right hand. Seemed like Floyd ate some one twos in exchanges as well.

Of course not. On another post, I said Conor would get wreaked if he fights Spence. Conor is not a boxer and tonight proved that much. Had his career taken a different early, he would have been a very good boxer.

MMA fighters train every aspect of their game while boxers train how to throw and defend against punches throughout their whole career. MMA fighters will never be as good at boxing as boxers, and boxers will never be good a MMA as MMA fighters.

Case closed. Boxing rules. How many times do guys like Tim Sylvia and McGregor have to get starched by ANCIENT boxers before the MMA fanboys admit it?
