He fought the wrong fight. Tried to box him and was never going to do anything but lose.

    They punch differently.

In MMA they dont sit down on their punches at all, or really even push through with shoulder or hip. Conor's one of the best strikers in MMA and you could see the difference between him and Floyd tonight. It's different. With the lighter gloves Conor just needs to pick his spot and land something accurate and down they go. Different in boxing.

I do want a gif of that counter uppercut though, that was a thing of beauty.

If Floyd wants to claim a big victory of a guy who's 0-0 in boxing alright for good him.

But If Floyd wants to claim that hes the greatest fighter alive he needs to fight Tyson Fury. Yeah id love to see that happen. Dumb son of a ***** :wanker

The fact that people are using GGG and Canelo as examples of who McGregor should fight, it gives him legitimacy. Of course GGG and Canelo would knock him out. There is no doubt about it.

But the question is, can any boxer around his division beat Conor in the Octagon?

He looked like garbage. We all know Conor would actually look dominant and annihilate Floyd in an MMA fight. Floyd was supposed to school and crush him.

I was rooting for Mayweather and he just embarrassed the sport. McGregor won rounds and took him deep

I dont think he has ever been heavy handed.
In MMA he has better skills than those around him a better punch a quicker punch and better timing from actually spending time boxing growing up.
But when you put him in with someone who has been taking hits of boxers for the last 30+ years that power is found wanting.

Yes he may be heavy handed compared to MMA fighters his size but when compared against boxers i do not think he has heavy hands.

Look at rugby and american football. in rugby you have to do everything and last for 80 mins so a heavy tackler in rugby may be the biggest and hardest but you put them in american football where you are specialist and you get breaks every 30 seconds then the rugby players tackling power is going to look low

Instead he got outboxed and waited for a guy with no 12 round fights to gas so he could win

look at all you boxing snobs now acting as if conor didn't actually give floyd trouble. He actually won rounds against boxing's greatest. And floyd kept duck and turtling like a *****.

Floyd would not win a SINGLE round in mma let alone last one.

I still think he has power. But MMA fighters are easier to hit.

Hes obviously not used to punching for 36 mins. In MMA, you use other parts of the body to hurt your opponent. Theres no way he could have conditioned his deltoids to cope with a bout against Floyd in 3 months.

How is that even comparable? Connor has trained in striking his whole career. Floyd has never trained in kicks, wrestling, submissions etc.
