Mayweather ISNT the best boxer in the sport and he hasn't been in years.

Mayweather hasn't fought in TWO years.
Keep in mind hes FORTY YEARS OLD.

Connor was what TWO weight classes bigger? I thought he was such a powerful puncher yet never hurt Mayweather.

110 punches Connor landed. How many were jabs? How many were EFFECTIVE punches?

Mayweather walked him down. And then STOPPED him. When besides ORTIZ has Mayweather ever stopped someone?
    TEN YEARS AGO.
Jesus and MMA fans and the like think what Connor did was impressive?

I didn't have to watch it to know it's fixed. I actually don't know why someone would spend their saturday night watching sh.... like that.

I think he definitely did a thousand times better than Gatti.

    Any others?

It takes a special kind of fighter to give someone else 3 rounds to prove their worth knowing you have the fight in the bag down the stretch
McGregor had an awkward as **** style to time and mayweather needed a couple rounds to get it timed so would any other fighter but that was only 3 rounds

Floyd was extremely aggressive against Gatti and barely got hit at all.

What does a poundage advantage have to do with the number of times you get hit?

Floyd is a defensive fighter, and was totally out of his comfort zone by fighting the way he did. Father time, you can't beat it. Not bad for 40 years old though. You should feel priveledged that you was alive to be able to watch a masterful boxer such as Floyd Mayweather, who will go down as one of the greatest boxers of all time.

I might have taken the first 2 rounds off Mayweather as long as he doesn't hit me back.

He probably knew he was never knocking him out, probably hoped to bully him behind those pitter patter volume shots

Because people like "events". They get some big mouth like CONNOR telling everybody how great he is. How he can adjust to any fighting style etc.
Then they go on the fight tour and Connor puts on a show.
Throw in the " knockdown" of Paulie and people start to believe he has a " chance".

Big respect to Conor, but that Floyd looked old. It just didn't look like Floyd took this fight seriously. Big respect to Conor, he's a great fighter. Lets see how his career turns out in the end.

So losing all those rounds by getting outboxed by a fighter whom Floyd fans called an amateur who wouldn't last three rounds indicates Floyd's greatness because it was Floyd struggling to figure him out? :risas3:

    BTW
I saw approx. six or seven rounds won by Connors as did the commentators. So I guess we disagree on that assessment.

Of course they do, that's what they're trained to do, aswell as they're able to take the punches better aswell. At the end of the day, MMA have got to train in a lot more techniques than boxers and therefore can't just be 100% in one art. They're both great sports.

Boxers are more talented athletes. I respect MMA but to be a good boxer takes years of training and a lot of skill.

I never understood why McGregor was viewed as the puncher doing in.
