Not in MMA. He is powerful for that sport. Hasn't got the proper technique to make it tell in boxing. He should spend some time in Floyd's gym before he goes back in the octagon. A few weeks working with them and in combination with his other skills, he'd destroy anyone he ever steps in the octagon with.

What I see a Floyd who wasn't sure of what he had in front of him hesitating to commit and taking unnecessary punishment due to unfamiliarity with the style and the frequency of getting tagged as a consequence. So I guess we differ in viewpoints.

Well, I guess those opinions differ with mine. But that is my assessment as I see it and as the commentators expressed it during the fight. In fact, the commentators spent the majority of the fight praising Connors on how well he was doing.

 

ofcourse he landed more shots because Floyd didn't fight of the back foot against him and didn't care about the shots coming from connor so in that respect he might of done better

Floyd against canelo/cotto/Pac had to fight of his skin and never dared to walk them down and give them shots to hit him with just so he could get them

In other words Floyd had to be CAREFUL as hell with those guys for Connor he didn't give to ****s kind of like how you let your little bro get free shots on you

 

Conor got his moral victory and floyd his 50th win, all very neat and tidy. If they continue doing events like this boxing will become a joke, so hopefully that's it....

But the extent to which people are allowing that hate to cloud their judgement is truly ridiculous. I dislike Floyd, he's insecure, petty and materialistic, but anybody that says Conor won the first 6 rounds and would have demolished Floyd were it not for his terrible stamina needs to get over their sad obsession because it's clearly having an influence on their ability to judge a contest objectively.

 

UFC was bought on borrowed money. The Mafia Bros sold it for 4 Billion and the hollywood william morris agency bought it with a 2.8 billion loan. Good game.

The fact that this thing even happened under the guise of an official boxing match proves that big time boxing is a business that doesn't have any respect for itself, no dignity and doesn't take itself seriously as a sport any more.
Boxing's always been showbusiness and crookedness but it's fallen very low now indeed.

The fact that this happened with the sanctioning of the Nevada state commission and the endorsement of the WBC is crazy.

The fact that broadcasters are willing to sell this as a legitimate boxing event is sad too.
