Golovkin says that he blocks punches with his face in order to entertain the fans. But somehow Floyd just doesn't strike me as the kind of bloke who would do that.

Either you havent watched the fight, either you havent watched any of foyd's previous fights, either you have no F clue about what you are watching when you watch boxing.

Joe Calzaghe beat Bernard Hopkins mostly with arm punches which did nothing.

Well Conor has gassed before in MMA fights, he definitely gassed at one point vs Diaz. Doesn't take much to think Conor would tire at some point over 12 x 3 min rounds when he tired over 5 x 5 mins rounds.

It's pretty clear to me that Mayweather gave the early rounds away. He was more than comfortable and it was the 4th round he decided that enough was enough. McGregor at the start of the 4th for the first time really goes at Mayweather and that's when Mayweather changes it up. He starts really walking Conor down.

Paulie has that ugly jittery style. I think McGregor over powers him after roughing him up.

Cleaner work, Paulie can mess with him alot.

    Yep.
If people are willing to buy and believe this BS they will carry on doing the same.
Gullible boxing fans are already thinking McGregor has somehow acquired legitimacy by going 10 rounds, so if he continues to fight again he can continue to make ridiculous money for himself and boxing promoters. And I'm sure Floyd will be near the front of the queue to promote something involving him.

I wont be surprised if the alphabet organizations even start to give UFC guys rankings !

This event just opens to door to all sorts of WWE style fake events and I'm not even going to speculate on what they will cook up next.
Stuff we probably can't comprehend or dream of at the moment.

The word "either" always involves two choices. You have three.

In any case all your premises are flawed:

    1. I did watch the Connors/Floyd fight approx. two hours ago.

    2. I have indeed watched Floyd's previous fights against such opponents as Cotto, DelaHoya, Zab Judah, Pacman, Gatti, Castillo, Canelo- etc.

    3. As a student of both the Martial arts and boxing I do know what I'm watching.

The funny thing is, Malignaggi would actually be the puncher out of the two.

Get boxing's metaphorical nuts out of your mouth. Of course Mayweather looked much better you dumbass. Mayweather is a professional boxer and he beat a non professional in a boxing match. My god, how ****ing dumb can you be?

Can you install plumbing and build homes as good as a professional plumber or carpenter can? No you cannot because that is their literal job. They make a living do those things.

He let boxing down in a really big way. It was absolutely shameful. Unforgivable. I personally feel let down by him because he made me look like a goddamn fool after I'd been going round telling everyone what a big farce and freak show it was and how it wasn't going to be remotely competitive. It is totally inexcusable and the excuses from his cheerleaders are pathetic

''But Floyd had been out for 2 years''

    ''Floyd was 40 years old''

    ''Floyd carried him''

Wlad Klitschko was even older than Floyd (41) and he'd been out for 1.5 years going into the AJ fight

And he was coming off a one-sided 12 round schooling at the hands of Tyson Fury and had way more miles on the clock than Floyd did given that it was his 69th pro fight and he been KO'd 3 times before

And Wlad had a longer amateur career than Floyd too: Wlad 136-4, Floyd 84-8

Wlad was facing an opponent who was

    14 years younger than him

    250lbs of pure muscle

An absolutely savage puncher who was 18-0 (18 KOs)

Not only an actual professional boxer but a reigning HW champion who was making his 3rd defence of his IBF title, and who is a former Olympic gold medalist and world amateur silver medalist

AJ is a freaking monster and the entire HW division is petrified of him. He's lightning fast, 250lbs of ripped to shreds pure muscle, crazy athletic and strong, and he can punch holes in castle walls, whereas conversely McGregor is a MMA fighter who was 0-0-0 in the sport of boxing.

Sure Wlad lost but he didn't let anyone down or embarrass the sport that has been so good to him or the legendary fighters who came before him. He performed magnificently in defeat whereas Floyd got taken to school for the first half of the fight by a MMA fighter who is 0-0-0 in the sport of boxing. The fight wasn't even competitive until McGregor ran out of gas. He was totally out boxing the alleged ''master boxer'' ie. ''TBE''/Mr. 49-0 #noblueprint #49havetried,49 have failed

Floyd even admitted that he came forward deliberately.
The gameplan was to let him shoot heavy shots from the beginning, take him out down the stretch - basically make him punch himself out.
Floyd said that by coming forward, he will take contact. That's a part of the sport.
    That is embarassing.

How can Floyd be so rubbish whilst coming forward against a 0-0 fighter. Again, this ain't Lomachenko in his debut.

I have forgotten more about mma/boxing and pretty much any sport than you have ever known.

Not only would you **** your pants if you were in front of me, you'd buy me dinner and lend me your wife.

Ydksab or mma. Completely and utterly inept.

Floyd looked extremely confident and extremely competitive, people are gonna start talking and saying he remains retired so he won't face GGG
