Conor was way too careful ar the beginning still. Did not throw almost any power punches. I did not understand Conor game plan. Conor was throwing slaps from round 1.

Yes it would probably ended bad for him sooner.but c'mon. Conor must knew he have to get the KO early. He did not even try and Floyd played the game for 6-7rounds then picked up when Conor was gassed.

Floyd also looked very old and almost seem he can't pull the trigger anymore. But again Conor was the bigger letdown in this fight. He didn't go down like celtic warrior.

 

I can last 10 rounds vs floyd too if he doesnt punch me at all for 8 rounds.

 

And yes Floyd is shot too. Crawford probably beats Floyd now. There is a reason Floyd is retired and only come back to Conor.

Floyd is very shot.

Just look at the Maidana fight. He doesn't use his legs much anymore. Very reserved with his shots and pot shots to win rounds. He was missing alot against McGregor mainly because he could.

Very wise to avoid certain fights at the end of his career.

 

Floyd is probably close to being shot. In the post fight press conference he said he did not spar for the last month. It was all drill work and working on timing.a
He knew his limits and came back for the correct opponent. He also knew exactly what to do. This is called ring IQ and intelligence. B-Hop carried it into his late 40s and then declined rapidly (Kovalev and Smith) because even though his lifestyle was clean, everything has an expiry date.

Floyd wont be back. Other fighters though, cannot let go out of stubbornness and (financial) neccesity.
