It's hard to say that Marciano was "hurt" in the fights we don't have film of. Or at least to what degree. I couldn't see Marciano going down against Tunney nor getting rocked by Sharkey at any point in his career for even a no count.

Dempsey got up immediately from his kd by Tunney and resumed his chase of the Marine .I don't see where he was hurt it was a flash kd imo .Yet you say he was hurt? The ringside reporters say Marciano was hurt in the fights I itemised yet you don't accept that? Do you see where this is going?

I said he went down against Tunney and was hurt by Sharkey.

It's not that I don't accept that Marciano was hurt, I just want to establish that we don't know what they mean't by hurt. It's like when Dempsey was momentarily hurt by Carpentier's right and when he was rocked by Sharkey. Both times he was hurt but in one he was hurt a lot more than the other. Hence why I am skeptical about using newspaper reports that say he was hurt as evidence that he had a worse chin than Dempsey.

I say Marciano has the better chin but it isn't by a lot. Dempsey has a very reliable jaw.

Dempsey had the better chin....firpo hit like a monster and Tunney hit him a million times and put him down for one second...no I doubt Marciano had a chin quite like dempsey

All these instances that you give to tear down marcianos chin are alll "heresay" from reporters, and in none of those instances did Marciano hit the deck. How hurt could he have been?

Dempsey, on the other hand, was knocked out flat on his back for 20 seconds by a 37 year old journeyman fireman Flynn. If this happened to Marciano, critics would use this heavily against the rating of his whiskers.

Dempsey was put on wobbly legs by carpentier right hand on film. If we go by film, Marciano never seemed badly hurt despite taking flush shots. Dempsey was put on rubber legs several times on film. If we add in dempseys knockout loss to a 37 year old journeyman, Marciano takes it in the chin department.

If Marciano momentarily lost his balance in an inconsequential moment of a fight, Mcvey would bring it up time and time again to discredit Rocky.

If Dempsey gets knocked out in 20 seconds however, he offers excuses like "He was hungry!"

Pretty Much. I've never seen Marciano put on rubber legs on film. Dempsey has been out on rubber legs 4-5 times in film, and was knocked out.

Untrue. You can see in round 11 or 12 vs Walcott that Marciano was hurt.

Where have I torn down Marciano's chin? All I've done is post ringside reports of fights that nobody here has seen.
Do you seriously believe that you have to be knocked down to be hurt in a fight? If you do it's probably a good thing you stuck to wrestling!

Jimmy Young was out on his feet against Foreman ,he said"if he had sneezed I would have gone down" Ali, in the 11 th rd of the FOTC was boxing from memory! Jeezuz you fan boys would embarrass Marciano if he were around today!

    Q. In which KD of him was Rocky in the most trouble?

Flynn was no journeyman journeymen don't beat a prime Sam Langford.

Want to compare 21 years old Dempsey's opposition in his 33rd fight with 28 years old Marciano's?

No ,I didn't think so! Get back in your box Suzie .You've just been ko'd!

Dempsey ever knocked down by a 40 years old Light heavyweight? Or a 39 years old boxer?

You are a complete nonsense with no vestige of credibility here what so ever and the extraordinary thing is you are the one solely responsible for the fact that you are seen as an immature fan boy who doesn't know his a*se from his elbow! The author of your own demise! For f*cks sake do some research before you make an even bigger c*nt of yourself than you already have!

Both guys probably know there is no "Plan 2". This could actually be a dangerous fight, because if a fighter doesn't get knocked out quickly, it could end up with a brutal beating to someone with TKO (see McClellan v Benn, Griffith vs Paret, et al).
