Superior sport? You utter fool. Why are you here if it is so superior? Surely if it was so superior you'd be immersed in discussing it with your fellow followers of the sport on their forums. Yet instead you choose to come here and make a fool of yourself Mounting on a defenseless human being to pound their brains in with hammer blows, kneeing each other in the chest and elbowing each other in the head and face is not a sport. It's nothing more than the human version of brutal dog-fighting without the biting. It's lowbrow sadistic entertainment for those who have become accustomed to defiling their own bodies and minds. This is why UFC has the highest rate of domestic violence and drug abusers.
This is why they stubbornly try to win arguments on supposition and conjecture. "Floyd was carrying him" being the most pathetic.
Even you could have won the first two rounds on activity alone, anyone could have, he barely threw a shot. (well you could if it weren't for the fact you'd end up in a heap on the floor after 30 seconds gassed)
A boxer would be utterly defenseless if they found themselves on their back. But a superior fighter can be more dangerous in this position. You have no idea what you're talking about half the time.
Bare knucle boxing was once an Olympic sport in Egypt. It no longer is as humans have evolved to realise it's barbarity. Is MMA now an olympic sport? No because it is the degradation of sport through savagery. It is for the devolved who take pleasure in watching men behave like lowly beasts on all fours.
Look, I never expected Conor to win, or even be competitive. In fact, I won money off Floyd betting with some of my rather more clueless MMA pals. But I thought that Floyd would have won every round and bundled him outta there by the 5-6th at the latest. The fact that McGregor beat him for the first three rounds and arguably the fourth as well shows that PBF simply can't handle the pressure and never really could. Again, if Conor had been more skilled or had a better gas tank, the legend would have been in danger of shattering. Against a debut guy. Pretty embarassing.
I think Conor wanted to live up to his prediction of taking Floyd out within 4 rounds and it backfired. If he had used a more patient, energy conserving style, he would have won his debut.
It isn't my fault you can't see what is right in front of you, the guy walked him down and didn't have an offence. When have you ever seen that before from Mayweather? You only do that when you have no respect for your opponent's power. You know nothing about boxing, nothing. You've embarrassed yourself throughout this thread, your man took a beating and lost, and on top of that I'm afraid to say you also have the IQ of a cabbage.
MMA should be an Olympic sport today. It is a fusion of all fighting disciplines including boxing and is the closest thing to actual fighting we have. I really fail to see how calling MMA barbaric and boxing not makes sense. Dude, some of the bloodiest fights I have seen have been in the boxing ring, and people regularly die from the beatings that they receive in the squared circle. In fact there's plenty of evidence to suggest that a severe beating in boxing is way worse than an MMA beating. Typically MMA fights are stopped the moment a guy can't defend himself. Boxing fights can go on like Bowe/Golota or Duran / Moore or Mancini/Kim until the other guy has received permanent damage. Your argument is void. If you don't like MMA because of the grappling aspect, well, that's your opinion and you're entitled to it, but it is another argument.
