Yeah, an analogy would be these failed sprinters who start taking up Bobsleigh. The only difference is these failed sprinters can actually sprint.

These MMA guys, to a man, have all been beaten senseless by club fighters, and they don't DARE show their face in their local boxing gym ever again.

This was a better fight than I anticipated and was good fight night party despite the amount of time the card took my guests had a great time the second fight night party involving McGregor and everyone left entertained. For a Floyd fight on PPV it was entertaining everyone was locked in in curiosity

Round 1 it was apparent that Floyd either couldnt or wouldnt move laterally like we are used to and connor had a good start and the people at the party were getting excited thinking mcGregor was actually going to win. It looked to me as though Floyd was a bit thrown off by the height reach and awkward stance of mcgregor

By the end of round 3 McGregors shots looked like arm punches and hammer fists and did nothing. Floyd just kept walking in showing no respect for Conors punches as he swarmed at McGregor and typically spent every round in the middle to meet him and let him fire off some shots.

I think Floyd understood McGregor is used to 25 minute fights and boxing is 36 and felt he could stretch him out. After 25 minutes (8 rounds) he was done and ripe to go. After about 3 rounds his mouth was open and around 4 or 5 his eye was marking up. McGregor maybe landed 2 or 3 good punches but Floyd never looked out of control, worried, uncomfortable or in danger at any moment. I dont think he carried Conor or anything like that but it didnt look as though he fought with much urgency and patiently took his time.

The stoppage was maybe a little quick but McGregor was finished was hurt was tired and not fighting back and the stoppage saved him from being laid out on the canvas. Probably better for his image that he got pulled out when he did I think. A few years ago when Floyd was just a little younger and sharper he would have Gatti'd Conor. His right hand landed with way too much ease and he didnt really jab all that much.

As far as Conor in boxing, I dont see it. A 154lber will cut weight and weigh right on the nose, not 5-6 pounds under and will re-hydrate as much as Conor and at the same size with even more power any offensive minded 154lber will probably get him inside 5. I'm not a hater or trying to diminish Conor but its just two different sports

I know my assessment seems to lack credit for Conor but I do feel he exceeded all expectations and was pretty competitive and made it very interesting my hat is off to him. I hope he takes this loss goes to UFC and fights Tyrone Woodley in what would be a super fight a 3rd title to set the record vs a guy who has a little bit of a villain persona among fans do to his criticism of the organization based on discrimination and Conor is a great fight seller and character. To me that is the fight

Wasn't worried. When floyd threw 6 punches in the first, employed the style/tactics he did, and also blatantly pulled a punch that he wouldn't even miss as an elderly man, it was pretty obvious what was going on. It was frustrating to watch though. He has lost a few steps, but could have fast forwarded what he did in the 9th and 10th up to the 4th-6th, Conor simply is not very good and was allowed to have the vast majority of success he did have early. Pretty scripted fight.

a cut is a cut bud, youre so dense you cant even realize that.
a cut in mma and a cut in boxing is still.....a cut lmao.

in your biased world facial 'disfigurement' is worse than CTE brain damage...lol your bias logic in a nutshell
you dont even have a leg to stand on after that comparison.

Cuts are not cuts! There are different degrees of skin injuries from bruises, lacerations to contusions and incisions

Though I don't expect a meathead to understand those differences. Seriously get an education before accusing others of being dense.

Besides that, brain damage happens in both sports. Disfigurement mainly occurs in mma. So your last point is moot.

And I like how you side stepped all the other points made because you have nothing to counter them with.

Seriously you are out of your depth here, better for you to peddle your bro science and fantasy on Sherdog where no one will question your foolishness.

They know not even to attempt it, they don't have to go through a failed boxing stint to discover that about themselves. Pertaining to this farce we saw over the weekend that's why a mma fighter will never beat a boxer in boxing because if he was good enough to be a boxer thats what he would be doing - not mma. Conor McGregor couldn't make it in boxing so he became a mma guy. He made a good decision as he would have done absolutely fkall in boxing.

The funny thing is that people say Floyd fought a certain way as he didn't see much of a threat as much as his physical capabilities have diminished and certain posters call bull. Gennady does it for 'big drama show' and then the same people lap it up. You can also reverse that and it be equally true. I like both as fighters so don't have a horse in that race.

name one of your examples of disfigurement in mma, and no bud cte is predominantly in boxing, the guys who retire from mma dont have slurred speach, and they remember who their family members are.

last i checked plenty of broken noses, orbital bones, ect ect in boxing/ all that is disfiguring were talking about a sport where you punch people in the face predominantly, however i dont expect you to know...cause you clearly never boxed.

i dont have to object all your biased opinions, listen to yourself kid you live in a delusional world where you think
disfigurement is worse than not being able to speak a proper sentence...
    delusional.

No. Conor has no gas tank and limited power. Even a completely shot Floyd Mayweather would be too much.

or they want to grapple and not box...the same way someone want to play baseball and not football...
HAHAHA yea bro everyone who does combat sports want to be a boxer, nobody wants to know how to grapple or kick..

yea a mma figher wont beat a boxer in a boxing match we all already knew this, but he will in a mma match, they are different sports, your argument is moronic

Let me guess, you're one of these cabbage brains who were predicting a Conor win?

I just hope you didn't lose all your benefits money on McTapout, I'd probably be crying too.
