I think Canelo beats GGG

Sure it was GGG's fault that Universum blocked all his potential big fights in Germany to keep him away from Sturm, the local star. Golovkin didn't want to step up... Then why did he leave Universum, jackass? If he was content with fighting bums, why didn't he stay with Universum? Maybe because he wanted a big fight?

It must be a sad life when a boxing forum where you don't get paid is that important to you. You talk a lot of **** but don't back it up.

I have no excuses, because unlike you, I'm a fan of Canelo, not a fanboy like you, and I also don't HATE any fighter, I think its beyond absurd to be emotionally attached to any fighter, whether its obsession or hate like you and your GGG pals do.

If GGG beats Canelo he deserves nothing but praise for that win and it finally validates his hype and career, and Canelo should not be ashamed for losing to a better fighter.

If Canelo beats GGG then he deserves all the credit for beating a long established MW, it will be his biggest win thus far, and will hopefully continue to challenge himself in the many years to come carving out his already impressive legacy and attempting to be immortalized not just in MX, but in the world by becoming an ATG.

Tbh I dont expect a bloody war, I expect a tactical fight. Both looking for countering without being countered. What I expect is gg's jab vs canelo's counter-the-jab. And a stoppage at the very end of the fight, whoever wins.

I expect they both to "jab the jab" too, or at least to try this strategy for a while. It's a good strategy offensively and defensively if you win that minigame. Well, actually I don't know, that's why I'm so excited about this fight, because there are 1000 possibilites and I dont really know what will happen.

Anyway, if it is a slugfest from the beginning I would be completely suprised. They both are way smarter than just regular sluggers.

 

I definitely take into consideration that @CST80 is confident Golovkin will win haha, because he's been on a great run of successfully predicting even obscure fights lately.

I think it could go either way - even a KO is possible on both ends - yup even Canelo has a chance of stopping GGG as Mayweather said. I hope GGG takes it, though.

 

Imo gg is a "seek and destroy" fighter. And trying to seek and destroy canelo.... I dont think it's a good idea, it usually backfires really hard. Canelo is pure talent, I'm with you in this one. 50/50 but Canelo wins

Oscar won a purse bid with a small amount of $$$ because the other promoter didnt show up, because he passed away not long before the purse bid. I think Hassan got like 30-40K to fight in the opponent's backyard.

Anyway, you didnt tell me how DL got from "regional fighter" to "somewhat of a force at MW" that quick.

Oh and I dont give a ish about Lemmy but he's a good top MW, not a regional fighter. If he goes up to SMW I dont see him doing very good honestly, but who knows.

After the fight was announced they said it took only two weeks to agree and sign the fight.

The morning before the weigh in, ( Canelo vs Chavez) I read in a Canadian newspaper that Canelo vs GGG is on. Lemieux blew the whistle, he was asked by local journalist if he's gonna fight Canelo in September if both win, he said "no, he's fighting GGG next"

 

man there both superb fighters. its gonna be a blood bath . there both extremely talented. very similar attributes. there not gonna be able to hide from one another guys.

This was a 50/50 fight for me until I saw that GGG was 5 lbs over his usual 30 day weigh in weight. Now it's 60/40 in favor of Canelo and the more I think about the fight, the more I lean towards Canelo.
