Canelo Alvarez is looking scary, he is knocking GGG out!!!

You feel that a defective defense doesn't make getting knocked out more probable and ignore the numerous examples where defective defensive abilities has indeed lead to KOS and TKOs. Then you ignore that Kirkland was only KOD twice, lasted against hard-hitting Tapia who repeatedly landed flush on his jaw during the whole fight and prefer to arbitrarily attribute the two KOs to a weak Jaw. I disagree with that assessment. His defense against Canelo was full of holes and his being KO"D was a result of cumulative damage due to that defective defense. The commentators kept pointing that out-including Roy Jones Junior.

I don't think Oscar told Canelo to convince people that Khan was not glass jawed. Had Oscar he been striving to prove that Kahn was solid jawed, then he would have told Canelo to avoid knocking him out.

Footwork will be his downfall. And if GGG pushes him for 3 minutes of every round, not sure Canelo's stamina will hold up either.

Tex Cobb and George Chuvalo had atrocious defense. How many times were they knocked out? You don't even realize what you are arguing here. Telling me someone has bad defense doesn't account for them being knocked out. It all comes down to the Chin. Plenty of fighters with horrible defense were never KOed because they had solid Chins. Do you see what the issue is here? Your last part makes no sense Kirkland and Khan were brought in to get KOed and they did a spectacular job of it. Oscar then tried to start touting Canelo as a power puncher which any sane boxing fan saw right through. Well except you it seems.

 

18-24 months ago I would say GGG easy but now I think it will be a lot closer. I don't see GGG knocking canelo out. GGG has slowed down and I think canelo will win on points.

Kirkland was out of action for over 18 months and rusty, Smith was...well Smith, and Khan was well,just like Special K vs GGG, in a no win situation TBH
