Less to do with that than the fact IBF deadline was tomorrow, just 12 days after Crawford won the belt. Pure bull**** on the part of IBF who wanted one of their tomato cans to have the belt without actually having to win it back

    Strange move.
If hes moving up why didnt he vacate all the belts ?

I dont know why you guys are complaining about the IBF, I think Lipinets was waiting for a long time

    They could've fought in December.
Bud might aswell fight in December anyhow.

So why not smash this dude before moving up next year ?!

I suspect Crawford is moving up to 147. The boxing org.'s do not like a fighter to win all 4 belts because they can make more money with several belts. Boxing is corrupt. If Crawford were to fight Horn, it should be an easy fight for him, easier than any at 140, since Horn has no idea of how to fight, of course he must watch for Marsa Bob Arum who is well known for being a crook.........if only we could have fair fights, a federal boxing commission to make sure boxing is not corrupt, then we could see the best fight the best, #1 ranked fighter would actually be ranked #1, instead we see the WBC rank Stiverne as #1 for example. I would like to see Crawford fight Thurman next, that is a fight I would like to see. By the way, the undercard on the Golovkin/Alvarez fight is awful..................sick..................boring..................disrespectful to the fans...................

Crap like this (and the Floydweather vs McConnor circus show last weekend) is why I became a casual boxing fan.
Finally after mighty Zeus knows how long, we got another undisputed champion at a weight and then the IBF doesn't seem to give the multi beltholder even a little bit of slack so he can get some time to negotiate a deal with Lippy.
If after that he can't find common ground and also pulls out of the pursebids, then it would be Crawford's own doing losing one of his belts, rightly losing to be called undisputed for pulling a Bowe. But this way it's clearly due to politics, which has always been the hardest thing to overcome in a quest for all the belts.

Why fight for the title in the first place?
Unless he is moving up to welterweight it's a shitty move from Crawford.

I expect a champion to defend it.

How can you defend 4 belts when the 4 governing bodies are all requesting mandatories at similar times and saying you will be stripped if you dont fight them and the large sanction fees for each governing body.

Just don't understand his thinking of not fighting lipenets. He is either moving up or he wants a big money fight with a bigger name at 140. The only other big name is mikey garcia and he's basically a light weight

if he did fight lipenets one of the other governing bodies would also order a mandatory, its impossible to keep all 4 belts, He will probably fight garcia or move to 147, no point in staying at 140.
